As we continue the final tour of our NC house, our next stop is the middle guest bedroom. & O my this room has come a long way since the beginning. For some reason I painted this tiny room a dark color & did nothing with the space until one day I was fed up with the space being dark & dingy so I painted it dove white, added some light & bright elements, & now this middle guest bedroom is anything but dark and gloomy & was loved by a lot of guests!
This bedroom makeover was all done on a small budget too! By painting the walls dove white, adding light bed linens, & bringing in contrast with warm wood, a few dark elements, & antiques this space really came together. Obviously the main focal point in the bedroom is the DIY antique window headboard, I am going to miss that so much! It was fun to have, but I know I probably will never have that in our houses to come. Let’s all take a minute to say goodbye to the window headboard. Ok, moving on The DIY round side table was an easy build & a quick fix to get a side table where we needed it. The wood & gray dresser was a DIY that turned an ugly thrifted dresser into a lovely piece for this room. & those curtains? They are simply drop cloths hung with clips. Super easy! The art above the dresser was a DIY tea towel art project which is a great DIY to make super quick art that is cheap for any room in your home. The sconces above the side tables are affordable lights from Target, and some of the bedding is more affordable finds from Ikea. You do not have to spend a ton of money to make a cozy guest bedroom, but with some time & a little DIY you can have a beautifully imperfect perfect guest room.
Say farewell to this room! We will be packing it up this week & moving it over to our rental. I’m sad as we are saying goodbye,but I’m getting excited for the next house too. Este modelo tan industrial, se cuelga del techo, pero toma corriente de un enchufe normal, asi que si queremos enmarcar un poco mas el cabecero….esta es la opcion perfecta. Y las mesillas, al igual que con la comoda, no hacen falta que sean un lugar de almacenaje mas. Pueden ser sencillas como este modelo, o simplemente cajas o maletas acumuladas.
