If you haven’t known me for a while,
& you don’t know some of my obsessions,
I will just fill you in on a random fact about me.
Random Fact #179: I am obsessed with stripes.

I decided to add stripes to our office re-do.
& what better way then to stripe an entire wall?

 Now, before it was a beautiful striped wall, It was well.. boring…

This was the room a few months ago when I first
started the office re-do.
So many changes since then & I’m excited to
share them all with you!

 Now on to that striped wall.
The first part is all about math.. yah, not
my favorite subject either….

 Now first of all you have to measure the ceiling height.
But it’s not that simple, you have to take in account
for your baseboards & crown molding as well.
My ceilings were about 8ft tall.
Next I had to decide how thick I wanted the stripes.
I wanted them to be about 9inches thick.
After subtracting about 5 inches for the baseboards,
I came up with {10} 9 1/4 inch stripes.

Products I used to stripe my wall…

1. Black & Decker Laser Level– I bought mine at Lowes {on sale!}
2. Scotch blue painters tape– I ran out in the middle & used another kind as well
3. I chose to use a paint roller over a brush
4. The white paint I used was regular white Valspar kitchen & bath paint 

Yah, I know the desk & other things are missing from the room,
but I wanted to show you the wall with out anything in
front of it… the desk {re-done} will be coming soon!

I still have not found the exact prints that I want
to order for my frames, but you can see the ones I have
pinned so far {here} on my pinterest boards.

 I’m thinking about spray painting all the frames gold,
what do you think?
