Call me crazy, but I have started to decorate our home for the holidays. I love the cozy feel that Christmas decor gives to our home so I couldn’t help but start early. Now, I didn’t go all out in one day, just a little bit at a time. I naturally started in the dining room since that is where the majority of our fall decor was. I wanted to really make our light fixture a focal point in the space so I came up with an idea to incorporate poms to bring in some cozy texture, & hey they kind of look like little snow balls too!

The idea was very simple for this DIY holiday pom-pom chandelier Decor. I simply strung some pom poms together using a needle & cotton thread that I got from Michaels out of their large selection of thread. For this chandelier project I used gold thread, because well, it’s festive.

Threading the poms was fairly easy. I found that not going directly through the center, but to the side a little bit, was easier if that makes sense. If you go directly through the center it’s hard to drag the poms down the thread. Just my two cents, but you may have better pom stringing tips & tricks. The poms & string were both from Michael’s, very cheap so this DIY is really affordable!

Once the poms were all strung into one big line, I measured out {not exactly} how long I wanted each piece to be to string across the chandelier. Next you need to get your trusty scotch tape out. Not everyone’s light fixtures are all different so you may need to get a different kind of adhesive, but scotch tape was what worked for ours. I came up with a pattern that I wanted them to be hung & I started taping. For each one I went below the last one that was hung. For the last one on the bottom I hung it a little higher so that it held up the other strings. You can see that one is a little higher in the photo above, because it’s lifting everyone else’s slack 😉

Of course  you can’t see the tape when you are looking at the light fixture which is a bonus. This would be really pretty with beads, different color poms, patterned poms, different color string,  I mean this can get really fancy guys.
