I love this series of unseen footage here on the farm. There are so many rooms we haven’t shared yet! This is a major renovation update! We are renovating our laundry room this year and I am so excited to get this project started. I plan to take you guys along the entire journey of renovating our laundry room, which includes showing you the starting point. I’ve never shown you guys the laundry room because …..

I can’t lie I’m a bit embarrassed by the laundry room. This is one of the rooms that we haven’t touched since we moved in. And I am so excited to finally get started on this. When we moved into the house I recorded a house tour of exactly what the house looked like before we touched any of it. You can watch the house tour HERE to get an idea of where the laundry room is located in our house, the laundry room starts at 1:42.

This is a huge laundry room because it actually used to be the kitchen in the home before 1980s. Our current kitchen was added onto the house in the ’80s and that’s when this room turned into a laundry room. I can’t wait to show you guys how we transform this laundry room! My general plan for the laundry room is to turn half of it into a butler’s pantry that includes a laundry room and the other half into a bathroom. We definitely don’t need a laundry room this large and the bathroom next to the laundry room is really small so we want to make it bigger. So this large room is now going to be three different rooms:

• A butlers pantry
• A laundry room
• A bathroom

We can’t wait to show you this whole process of making this large room three different cozy useful rooms.

I cannot wait to be able to give you guys inspiration for renovating and styling your laundry rooms! I always get asked if I have tips for storage in laundry rooms, styling laundry rooms, and how to make a laundry room cozy … but I never felt like I had a good answer because I hadn’t touched our laundry room. Now I cannot wait to share all things laundry room with you guys this year. Keep in mind this project is just getting started so it will be a while until our next update but I am so excited to take you through the laundry room renovation from start to finish! Xx Liz Marie
