I definitely agree with you! If we waited to do things nothing would get done. If you wait until you have enough money to have children or buy a house neither will get done.
Unfortunately I’ve learned this week that life is too short. Do what makes you happy now so you can enjoy it longer. Each day is a gift?

I love this and since reading your book, have been focusing on what I can do, instead of what I can’t. I had been so focused on what I can’t do, or doesn’t make sense to replace at this time, that I had been thinking “why bother?” I’ve changed my mindset to what I can do…ugly brown furniture that doesn’t NEED replaced…I’ll stack cozy pillows. Furniture I don’t love the color of…I can paint. I can certainly bring the outside in and add coziness in little ways. Thank you for the inspiration! I hope you’ll share more ideas on this subject!

YES! I love the “don’t wait” idea and would love more ideas and inspiration on ways to apply this to my home. And I just purchased your book to take with me on vacation!

  4. Yes! If we waited till everything was “ready” we wouldn’t have jumped into our adoption last year. We had two months, no savings, old house, no home study, etc and we’ve been figuring it out ever since! We are so close!! March 6th is our finalization! If your heart is in it the rest will follow!

OMG, everything looks so beautiful, I love how you used the wicker basket as a planter. Everything is so rustic, bright, looks exactly like a beach house. I have a similar room but with fewer windows, planning to get some similar pieces as well, where do you recommend I get the furniture from, I was thinking of getting everything from Casagear, their Urban Port collection have great things.

Any chance you might be willing to share where the pillows on the sofa are from? Thank you very much. It’s greatly appreciated.

This post basically says it all. If you wait for perfection you may be waiting a loonnngg time and life is short so enjoy what you have now!!! It has taken me many years to learn this lesson so i would say that you Liz are wize beyond your years. Thank you so much for your inspiration that I have been enjoying for years:)

  10. I suppose my style then is cozy colorful cottage as well as cozy farmhouse. It actually feels good to say that. I’ve struggled for years knowing what my style was called. Thank you! One request… 😉 Have you ever thought about sharing the inside of your home at night? I’d love to see those hanging corbel light fixtures lit and the glow of your home in the evening. Or if you’ve already done that and I missed it, please tell me where to look on your blog. I NEED IT! LOL. I did see the porch one time lit up and snow covered. It was beautiful!. Big hugs.

  11. Liz, this definitely looks great. The idea of don’t wait is quite inspiring. I feel it does away with procrastination and get things done the way it can be asap. It is a beautiful white home. Little too much of white and brown. I might have played with reddish shades.
