1. Lynsey says:

I am so excited to see what you all decide to do with the ceilings. I love details on a ceiling, I think they are a space that gets overlooked at times when it comes to design.

    Love all of your inspiration

  2. Maria Adams says:

  6. Liz says:

Thank you for the kind words!

  7. KRISTIE says:

Where were you able to find such a beautiful farmhouse dining table? Everything is so lovely!!!

  8. Dorothy says:

I didn’t see where you said what your plans are for covering up the wires? All I saw was that you have spray painted some but not what you plan to do further?

  9. Nancy L Janssen says:

While I love every nook and cranny of your cozy home, I’m especially in love with your kitchen/sunroom/dining area. I think I would live in that area!
How is your little man, Cope? I’ll bet he’s grown so much.

  10. Liz says:

Thats under the question what are the new plans for the ceiling! We plan to add more architectural detail to the ceiling by adding a shiplap effect between each of the rafters, which will cover the wires.

  11. Brandon Kimes says:

Was there anything in the ceiling that couldn’t be painted? Copper or galvanized pipes or anything? You have a beautiful home!

  12. Alyssa says:

Could you keep can lights while exposing the ceiling? Do you have can lighting anywhere in your home? Could you share which contractor you had do your ceilings for us local girls? 🙂

  13. Celia says:

This is exactly what we are doing in our kitchen area of our home right now. We removed the drop ceiling and my idea was to leave the exposed floor joist and do shiplap and can lights in between but the contractor we have said it couldn’t be done because of the metal cross bars in between the floor joist. So we have just decided to do a shiplap ceiling.
