    Liz,
I love the brightness of your painted floors!
With showing us your floors, I’ve had the opportunity
to comprehend the flow of your rooms.
And. . .oh, my goodness. . .the cuteness of Copeland Beau
warms my heart and brings a smile to my face every single time!
    Truly inspirational post!

I know pine is a soft wood, do you find that to be a problem with gouges in the wood from dropping things, etc? Did you pick pine because it is cheaper? I would like rip up our carpet and replace with wood floors, but there is no room in the budget. This may be a solution to my ugly carpet woes!

Awww! Look at that big boy and his infectious smile! Thanks for the Cope fix, Liz.
I love the floors. Such a clean look, with both colors. I do like the brighter shade.

I’m so excited about your painted floors. What size pine boards did you use? Were they engineered or regular boards? We’re getting ready to start a remodel and I just don’t want brown or gray wood floors. We have white tile in our current house, and I have always loved the white!! A few years ago, we almost changed our tile to travertine. I’m SO glad we didn’t. I would have already hated it. Thanks in advance for the details!

I am so in love with your painted floors and the white is beautiful. You mentioned that you had sealed the original color – tapestry beige with polyurethane sealer – so, did you have to sand the sealer off before painting with the new white color? I have painted sealed floors in my family room, but am dreading having to sand them.

I’m local! Who put your floors in!?

Thank you so much for the info! I’m looking into painting our attic floors when we convert it into an extra living space, so this is SUPER helpful!`

    Hi Liz,
You are amazing I love reading about everything you do and your amazing family! Quick question why did you use the Behr floor paint vs. the Ben Moore porch and patio paint? Any specific reason? I was just at the Ben store and they said their paint didn’t need a sealer… just wondering…. never painted wood floors before! Thanks Jane

Hi you are making your home beautiful it’s a wonderful place. You are great at what you do Liz Marie. I have a question in regards to you repainting the floors, you stated above that you just repainted over the Tapestry Beige. Well there was the Poly on top of that, didn’t you have to sand it off before repainting ? That’s it lol

  10. Liz says:

We did not sand it off before repainting! It’s totally up to you if you choose to do that or not, it worked fine for us to not sand it off!
