As you know we are working on our front guest bedroom right now with a complete makeover, but at the same time we are working on our middle guest bedroom with just a few updates. But really who am I kidding? We are always working on every room of our home. haha & I love it. Most recently for the middle guest bedroom we got a new rug from Mowhawk flooring & they challanged me to brighten up a space for summer & I knew this room needed a pop of light. I knew I wanted a light and bright rug to spruce up the space. I chose the Tender Tradition rug in Billowing cloud which is a beautiful creamy white color. I have to admit I was a tad nervous about having a white rug in my home with my husband & I & our two dogs, but after hearing about, but smartstrand rugs are different. Most carpets have stain and soil treatments that are applied topically to the fiber. Over time, due to foot traffic, and wear and tear, the topically applied stain and soil treatment wears off. This can leave ordinary carpets looking worn out and dirty sooner than you might expect for such a large purchase. Mohawk advertises that you do not have to worry about stains & wear and tear on their Smartstrand rugs for as long as you have the carpet, it will have stain protection because it is built into the carpet fiber itself. & that is something that really impressed me since I hate grungy looking carpet. This carpet is rated #1 in consumer satisfaction. SmartStrand consumer reviews on the Mohawk Flooring website back that claim up, too.
No worries Bear. I’m not crazy. Well, maybe a little, but Smartstrand rugs are different. No carpet cleaners needed. A simple rag and some dish soap and water can remove stains like wine, spaghetti, dog messes, & dirt. Whoop! Sold. I haven’t had to test these theories out, but just by the look & feel of this rug I can tell the amazing quality compared to other rugs I own. & seriously look at Bear, he may be small, but he can be a messy little dude 😉
The one thing I noticed right away when I opened this rug up was how soft if was! Wow. It’s like a party for your feet. Maybe I’m used to stepping on unpleasant feeling carpet all the time, but this rug is fabulous and I kind of sort of want this carpet all over my house because of how soft it is. & I love how the creamy white really brightened up the room & made it more warm and inviting. And apparently Bear thinks so too.
Since this is a guest room I wanted a comfortable rug for our guests to put their feet on & knowing that I don’t have to worry about this little guy, his momma, or our guests making messes on it makes me really happy.
