After we painted our entryway, living room, Dining room, & kitchen a shade of white a few weeks ago I immediately realized that I needed to add some color and art back into our space. I have been dreaming up this DIY art display for some time now to hang prints from wire that is attached to the wall. I had a few different versions in my head, but I finally decided on this one. It’s simplistic & creates a large art display affordably. What I love about this way to display art is first of all it’s super easy, & secondly that you can change out the art so easily when you want to. The botanical prints were free printables that I printed at Staples. This art display including the art cost me about $10 to make!
All this art display consists of is 40 thousenths gauge wire & eye hole screws. I measured how long I wanted each row & how far apart I wanted each row to be & using a level I marked the spots for the eye hole screws. I simply screwed the eye holes into the wall at the pre-measured ares that I had penciled out. One on each side of the three rows. I then took the wire and attached it to each eyehole screw with a pliers with a wire cutting option & strung it over to the other eyehole screw & twisted the ends to secure it. Doing this for each row. This wire was pretty hard to get super straight, but I kind of love the imperfectness of how the wire looks. I used mini metal clips to hang my prints on the wire, but again the possibilities for this are endless.
What do you think of my wire art display? I’m serious when I say there are so many possibilities for this display. This would also be great for displaying family pictures, kids art work, christmas cards, post cards, Instagram photos, & so much more!
