These build ins are a dream, Liz! Absolutely amazing!

  2. Sarai says:

Water heater? Is that what you call the kettle? I’m Australian and never heard it called a water heater.
The space is coming along beautifully. Can’t wait to see it completed ?

  3. Ona says:

Water heater? Are you referring to the kettle..

  4. Emma Vincent says:

Thank you for sharing this, I absolutely adore these, after seeing them on Instagram the other day we have decided to add some to our cabin @vincentcabin! Emma xx

  5. Susan Jeffries says:

Those built-ins are on all our dream kitchen wish lists now. I have some shelving at one end of my small kitchen, so there’s some rearranging on the cards for sure. Wonderful inspiration as always ?

  6. Colleen McCarthy says:

I’m with you Sarai. We refer to a water heater as the big tank in your house that heats up all your water for your house. Item in the kitchen is a water kettle. Anyway, the kitchen so far looks great. I’ve never seen that brand SMEG of appliance. It’s so retro looking. LOVE IT❤????

How smart to build outlets in!!

  8. MICHELE KANE says:

Beautiful! I love your aesthetic and am re-doing my home in the cottage/farmhouse style. I also bought your book (which is how I found your blog!) I was stationed in NC for many years (Jacksonville) as well. In CO now. Quick question, where did you find your SMEG appliances? I have looked for them in the past but cannot seem to find a place to purchase them anywhere, including online. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

I think this space is perfect! I love the stone too! But what ever you do it’s always beautiful!!!

  10. Marcie says:

Did you remove all the stone, or did you build walls in front of it? I love the look of open shelving…as long as it’s far enough away from the stove and all the cooking!

  11. Aaren says:

I love that you put outlets hidden back there. Perfect blend of convenience and style. We pulled down all of our upper kitchen cabinets this weekend with plans of open shelving and I always look to you for inspiration!

  12. Darlene says:
