We are so excited to finally reveal our new she shed office created with LP Shed. Today is part 1 of many parts – THE INTERIOR: I’ve been teasing you guys with sneak peeks on my Instagram but if you didn’t know last week LP Shed & Tuff Shed were here on the farm installing the new outdoor office. The craziest part was that it took less than three days to install & completely decorate our office including painting & planting! I couldn’t believe how fast they were able to build our office shed, but as soon as the office was complete we left for a long weekend at Mackinac Island. We experienced all the fun of watching the office get built & decorating the office and then had to wait to actually use it. While I truly enjoyed every moment of being on vacation in our favorite place, I was itching to come back home and get to work in the new office.

Our she shed office is the perfect place to work from “home”, but be outside of our home. There are so many distractions inside of our home and it’s been so nice to have space where I can completely focus on work and separate that from being present in our home life. I love that if I’m working on a project I can “leave it out” without it covering our dining room table. If you didn’t know I recently brought on a full-time employee to help with all kinds of things & we think it will be super helpful to have a dedicated office space. We wanted her to be able to feel like she was coming to a job everyday and not just sitting amongst our laundry piles. I can’t wait to continue to update you guys on how we are using our office! One of the best parts of this shed that LP Building Solutions built? It has a fully functioning HVAC system… so cool in the summer & warm in the winter!!

As far as the interior of the shed.. I think it will look dramatically different here in a few weeks because we have a lot of plans for it, but of course when they got it up we wanted to quickly decorate it to share it with you guys. I wanted the shed to look like an extension of our home so I used a lot of cozy items from the rug to the sofa to the office decor that we had in our previous dining room office… The shed truly feels like another room in our house & I look forward to going to it every single morning for work! I dream of a window height desk below two of the six windows in the shed & we want to get some high barstools to work at so we can look out the windows while we work. I also dream of two cozy chairs along with the sofa so that we can have some more cozy seating… all good things to look forward to! See more of our plans below…

So why is this part 1? Well, many reasons! Part 2, the exterior, will be up tomorrow & I can’t wait to share that with you! This was also the install, but Jose & I have been brainstorming some things we want to do to the office to make it work even better for us.. we would love to put similar floors in it that look similar to the ones in our house. We are also going to be building a DIY desk attached to the wall, hang window coverings, & much more… but for now… our office is so cozy & is already working so well for us! We will be back with a ton of projects in this space & more posts in here soon…
