Oh my goodness guys I can’t believe that I’m putting this out in the universe the amount of butterflies I have is unreal! I WROTE A BOOK! okay… I said it, key the exhale. It feels so good to put that out there!
If you have been coming by the blog or following us on Instagram, you know how much love I have for everything Cozy… so when I was asked to write a book, and quickly followed up with- what would you write about, the first thing I could think of is an entire book about making your home cozy, regardless of style! So here we are announcing the pre-launch of our book, Cozy White Cottage – 100 ways to love the feeling of being home. AHHHHH It feels so amazing to put that out in the universe. I can’t wait for you guys to have this book in your hands & to read all of the simple and approachable ways to truly love the feeling of coming home.
So last year, one of the toughest and darkest times in my life (of course before Cope), I set out on this project of writing a book. You may have noticed a little bit of absence on my part here on the blog and on social media… it was because among all the things I was doing, I was writing a book. When I started I knew NOTHING about being an author or what it took to write a book. Now that I’m done, I still feel like I don’t know… Not really, but wow what a season that was! There were so many times I felt overwelmed, frustrated, creatively challenged, & completely stumped & I wanted to come share that with you, but I couldn’t. Now I feel like we have so many things to talk about. My 30th year was one of the most challenging years of my life and add that on top of going through a huge life change, losing our 9th baby, living in a fixer-upper that was very unfinished & just got a working kitchen… I wrote a book. I’m not saying that to complain, but to say that there is never a perfect time to chase your dreams. I hope that I can talk more about this & share more about this to inspire you to chase your dreams… THERE IS NEVER A PERFECT TIME! Just do it… sorry Nike, had to steal that one from ya.
So here we are. The book is ready for pre-order. It comes out officially on September 24th, but I would love for you to pre-order the book [HERE] because it shows retailers that there is excitement for the book & that would mean the world to us! I just found you when searching on amazon. Your new book looks so good. I am soon leaving my beautiful home due to health reasons and inability to keep it up. We will be building a Southern Living design the was house of the year a few years back. It is like a farmhouse with another little house attached for the master suite and a tiny house attached to the sunroom for guest. I know I will love perusing your ideas. I also studied design but it was many years and have always loved decorating. I have started putting a lot of my house I am now in on my pinterest board “The House I’ll be Sad to Leave” and another board “I Love the Creatures and Flowers in my Garden”. I also like to use antiques in my garden. I have an old ringer washer, claw foot bathtub, bicycle, and old metal bathtub with flowers in them among other things. If you get a chance checkout my boards and you will see we have a lot in common. My house is peach and white with a gazebo on the end.
