It is no secret how much I love entryways. If you visit the blog you see how much I love changing our entryway, especially as the seasons change. To me the entryway is the welcome sign for your home. A unique space to showcase your style, and what to expect throughout the home.

The farmhouse has a very fun and challenging space to decorate. I decorate to the right of the door as well as the stairway wall to the left. I can take two different looks from two different perspectives to style our entryway, and that makes this girl who likes to changes things up very happy. This wall has the hanging accessibility where the other wall offers the bench area that you can see [HERE].

Throughout the years, from house to house, entryway styling and decor has taken on a few different forms. From the obvious and spacious to the space saving & creative. Not all homes have a well established-carved out area to style an entryway. It may just be simple layout of the home or a smaller entry to the home that limits your area to style. Nonetheless, I am here to testify, if there is a will- there is a way. You can find antique pieces that can double as an anchor the space and establish your decor backdrop for your home.

In the past I have used antique furniture like cabinets and wardrobes, with season decor stacked on top, and a coat or hat hung from the handles. It does not necessary have to antique, any piece of furniture, old or new will work. I have used an entryway table styled with greens and books. All of which eat up a little space in your room, space that we felt was well used. However, in the time leading up into spring cleaning, I am in the remove everything mindset, and wanted to style one side of our entryway with a thin and minimal approach.

I am in love with this vintage accordion peg rack find, a thought it was the perfect fit for the right side of the door. What I love about the accordion peg rack is the ability to fit the width of any space. You can stretch it out or keep it clustered together, all achieving a slightly different look and feel to the space. We found a happy middle, maybe leaning towards the clustered side of the accordion, and felt it fit the width between doors just perfectly. Right when I found this accordion hanger I knew that I could use it for so many things, but I was really excited to share how a simple find like this can create an entire simple entryway space. I hope the blog has a great mix of inspiration on it, but that it always shows that it doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful.

The other day, Jose told me he wishes I would share the why a little more– because when it comes to the design he doesn’t always understand how to bring things together. Some of it is interior design principles, and some of it is all in my head. But I think he had a great point, too quickly I put spaces together, and I think there are a few people out there that want to understand the why a little more, to further help them put their space together, and that is why I get on here an blog.
