Saw on Instagram last night you had been taking a social media break. So glad you said something as I had just started to wonder if you and Jose were ok. Not like you to not post something every day. You have us spoiled i guess! ?
    Have a great weekend.

    Liz,
I am a Traditionalist at heart when it comes to interior design,
but I’m not ‘ruled’ by its formality.
    I love your Farmhouse Design!
And this space is absolutely stunning!
Like you, I’ve been gradually beginning a ‘Winter to Spring Decor Transition’.
I, too, am ready to bring more ‘live’ plants into my decor.
Thank you for this filled to the brim inspiring post.
    Pat

    Liz,
I loved reading this post because after a week of 70 degree temps in central VA last week it was so tempting to haul all my Winter décor to my storage tubs and whip out the Spring décor! However, I know last week was just a little teaser of warmer weather and just as expected cold weather has returned so I was glad that I resisted the urge since we still have Valentines to celebrate.

I typically wait until the very last of February or the first week of March before I start bringing out Spring décor. I do like to start planning what I will use and I always pick up something new with each season as well. I noticed last week while in HomeGoods they had started displaying Spring décor but I didn’t see anything that caught my eye that day.

Such great tips!! In Oklahoma, we can get spring-like temps early but then have winter temperatures in April! It’s tempting to bring the spring decor out early but I like to hold off until at least March!

In Boise we are watching the snow come down after a few weeks ago of afternoons where I could take long walks. However, I love the snow! And the wonderful thing about our weather is that the snow will last only a few days. Thanks for your sharing of of thinking Spring. I do the same as you……..put small signs of the next season throughout the house but nothing big. Will wait until March. I do love shopping Trader Joe’s for the fresh look of blooming Spring bulbs . Makes me feel happy!

It has been so cold and dreary here in Oklahoma that i need a little spring, thanks.

Like most of the comments I like to hold off on my spring decor till March .For February I have brought some new houseplants, fresh flowers and done a display of wicker baskets and carved animals handcrafted in Africa on my bookcase shelves. Replacing a winter wreath over the mantle is newfound painting of a Great Horned Owl whose colors lighten the brick of the fireplace. This but of transition works for now .Love changing up things and creating vignettes on tabletops. Thanks for all your great ideas and inspiration. Happy Valentine’s Day.

  8. Love this Liz. That cabinet is amazing. Just found one as well in a similar color. ♥️ I loving your pillow. Can you share where you found it?? I kinda need it in my life! ?

We usually have spring sooner than most so l actually have combined Valentine’s and spring so when Febuary is over l already have spring in place. But it early snows in South Alabama so that makes a difference. We have our IT office in Grand Rapids, Michigan. So they have been working from home. Our sales and marketing office is in Prattville, Alabama.. Next time we visit l live to come to your shop. Love your blog and adoption story. Have a blessed week.???

Saw this on instagram. Do you know anything about the upper print with the sheep? I have the same one from my husbands great uncles farm in Stockbridge, MA. Was just looking for a spot to hang it today. Yours looks great in your spring potting corner.
