I am THRILLED to bring you this makeover today!!! I showed these lockers on Instagram a few days ago when I bought them & I hinted that I was giving them a makeover. Ever since I have been getting a ton of questions and lots of requests to see the makeover and what products I used. Well, today is the day I get to share it with you & I’m pretty pumped with how it turned out! 

I LOVE them! I didn’t HATE the “before” but I just wanted a cleaner antique look if that makes sense. I took my trusty fusion mineral paint in the color ash out that I have fallen in love with this year. It’s so versatile and for this project it was perfect because fusion mineral paint works great on metal surfaces. I put two coats of black paint on the entire set of lockers & when it was dry I went in with the fusion white wax to seal the lockers & add that vintage worn look of the white wash over the lockers. The wax also seals the lockers  although this paint doesn’t need a top coat & that’s what makes this fusion paint so special. It can also be used on outdoor furniture without sealer and sticks to so many surfaces. This paint is unlike any other I’ve used… if you have tried it you know what I’m talking about… it’s not a chalk paint or a latex paint… it’s a mineral paint & it’s so unique and wonderful! 

Ok, enough about the paint. The lockers actually aren’t “done” yet because I ordered some fun numbers for the doors, but I couldn’t wait to share the “progress” with you guys! I’ll be sure to share the rest of the makeover when the numbers come in. The lockers are currently in our front entryway and styled with some of my antique finds. To make it a little more festive for the holidays I also made a garland out of antique letters & envelopes for the front of the lockers. I’ve been storing scarves and boots in the lockers and I love to be able to hide some of our items that I had been throwing on our bench in the entryway. Will they stay here? One can only guess, but we haven’t even started our makeover on the back entryway so they could be really nice back there. These lockers were a find at local antique shop on sale for less than $100 and turned out to look like an amazing antique find in my humble opinion. I love the combination of black paint and white wax.. it’s a forever favorite! I hope this makeover inspires you & I can’t thank you enough for stopping by the blog today.
