Happy New Year Everyone!! I wanted to start the new year out by showing you a DIY project that I recently finished for our dining room. Our dining room is still in limbo, I mean, until recently we had a dining room table with no chairs. Who does that? I am in the process of trying to “finish” this area of our house and I wanted to make a table runner as the start to accessorizing the table. This table runner was super easy, no sew, and took less than an hour to make…

I started by cutting out the piece of burlap {You can order your burlap here} I cut it longer than I needed so I could have excess fabric to create the ruffles at both ends. To create the ruffles I simply folded the burlap under in small sections like an accordion and hot glued in the center of the fold and glued it to the next fold. I did this until I achieved the amount of ruffles as I wanted for the table runner which was about six on each side. That’s it! No sewing, just my trusty hot glue gun, some burlap, and I had a new table runner…

This is one DIY project closer to our Dining room being finished. Next up on my to do list is centerpieces and place settings. Our dining room will be “finished” soon… Can’t wait to show you!
