I am sure I have said this a few times after re-doing a room or space in our home… but this time I mean it (for now), but this is my favorite space! Not for the same reasons I love every other room. I love this room because it’s so cozy & we have basically been spending every day in this room. So if you have been following my room shuffle I’ve taken on over the past few months, I brought that super cool harvest table in the sun room, turning it over to my our one and only eating area.Our former dinning room, has been transferred over to our working office space. So naturally we needed to do something with that old office space.Our new favorite room is our old office, which has been turned into the coziest little den that Jose and I cannot get enough of. The sofa we had in the sun room was brought in the den, as well as some cabinets we had in limbo from the shuffle.I decorated this little den of ours a tiny bit for

The infamous card catalog is the backdrop to the sofa adding a little depth and interest behind the sofa & quite frankly it was heavy and I didn’t feel like moving it yet… call me lazy. Some old wooden trunks stacked and centered currently for our coffee table. Now this rooms held great recessed lighting for an office, but a little institutionally bright for a cozy den. So we added a floor lamp from World Market [HERE], to add that soft white single bulb lighting.

How we are using this room daily… well we don’t leave so that’s one way. At the end of the day, we will come into the den to kick up, watch a movie or one of our favorite tv shows, bring the laptop in for some passive work (but we try to keep the den a non-work space). Jose and I come in here in the morning before moving over to the office. Catching up on the the news and Instagram. For fall decor.. honestly just the pure coziness of the space screams fall from all the textured pillows to the quilts. The pumpkin  drawing on the antique chalkboard doesn’t hurt either. In the cubbies I used faux kale plants to add some life to the vignette & oh my goodness I am in LOVE with the new floor lamp I picked up at World Market the other day [HERE]. I was inspired by the Morrow House [HERE] to get a floor lamp & I love the glow and interest it adds to the space.

I absolutely love our fixer upper home, but it is tough sometimes always being around work. So to have little corners to hide “getaway” make it really easy to fall in love with and appreciate it to its fullest. This is just a tiny sneak peek at this cozy den of ours with all these fall touches. You know I will be back asap and show you the rest of the room once we start working on it more. I have to know… do you guys have a “den” that you hang out in? I don’t know why we never created one before. The best part about this post?
