Ok, this is my last blog post in the series I’ve done this week on our trip to Waco, but you guys… it was that good. This last post is special because you guys know I love sharing my favorite shops from our travels & especially when it’s a small shop with a creative who has passion in their soul for what they are doing. So, today I wanted to introduce you to one of my new favorite shops that we discovered in Waco called Linen and Cake. Their cute little shop had just opened seven days before our arrival & I found out about the shop thanks to some amazing people on my Instagram… what would I do without you guys? I couldn’t believe what we walked into when we arrived at Linen & Cake. It truly took my breath away…

When we were driving down the road looking for parking, I saw the cutest balloon arrangement hanging outside a cute little door & I KNEW  it was her shop because my kind of people would have that cute little display. & I was right… we walked up & it was her shop & from there I knew the shop would be my favorite. From the welcoming entry table with a sign-in book & fresh grapefruit punch to sip on as you shop… it was all so overwhelming for my creative brain to handle. She had a wonderful mix of vintage & new in her store just like our little shop, The Found Cottage. & y’all know a little vintage & a little new is my favorite thing so this shop was speaking my love language. We wandered around for about an hour in the shop chatting and looking at everything about 10 times because I wanted to take it all home with me. I did end up buying a couple things that they offered to ship me so I’m waiting on those, but will show you when I get them in!

Every display, every inch, every corner, & every photo I captured inspired me in some way or another. From a lesson in hospitality, a lesson in mixing mediums, & a lesson in all things cozy… it was all beautifully woven together & it all taught me one big beatiful lesson that I didn’t even know I needed. The one big thing that struck me about her shop is all the wonderful textures. From the linen to the rustic wood to the wool pillows & vintage rugs… the texture was so overwhelmingly great. You guys know that I’m a sucker for all things cozy so this was a shop that first brought you in by the beautiful entrance… made you go farther in by the wonderful smell… made you stay a while with a delicious drink… & made you never want to leave because of all the beautiful things to see & feel.

 

So I hope this little tour of the shop & all the photos inspire you in some way and teach you something as well. If you guys are ever in Waco, you must visit Linen & Cake!
