You know… This kitchen of ours has been one of those things that I slowly chip away at since it’s become a full functioning kitchen a few months ago. Now that the big things are done I’ve really just been chipping away at the little things & figuring out what works best for us in this space. I actually have a big change coming soon to the space after trying something a while back that just isn’t working out, but more on that later. I wanted to spice the kitchen decor up today so I pulled some art that is actually really special to us & that we both love & I hung it in the kitchen above our coffee station…

I know, it’s not antique prints for once or something that was painted for us, but these prints that I found at our shop mean a lot for a few reasons. The big reason? Cotton… our time living in the south was framed by massive cotton fields all around us. We used to park the car and just stare at the beauty of them. We’ve even had a full photoshoot in one which I will always cherish. The cotton plant reminds us of the good days in the south & waking up in the morning and coming to the kitchen to these framed cotton prints is quite peaceful & brings up some happy memories before we start the day. I love the tones in the prints & the contrast that the distressed black frames give to the space. I also love the stacked frames and how they bring your eye up in an area that was just blank before. It definitely brought life to this little space for sure!

I looked online for these prints, because we are sold out at the shop, & I could only find them [here] for those of you who are interested. I’m sure if you dig a little deeper someone else has them as well, but I hope that helps! I’m loving these prints in the kitchen and the life that it bought to this little spot between the stove and the fridge. I’m excited for some other changes coming to the kitchen very soon… I’ll be back with those updates as soon as possible!
