Ya’ll! I went to a flea market this past weekend & It still feels like a dream. Ok, let’s back up a little. So this past Saturday Jose and I randomly decided to head to Columbus, Ohio for the Country Living Fair. We packed up the truck at six in the morning & hit the road. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for so long now! We hopped in the car and tackled the five hour drive from Michigan to Ohio & arrived a couple hours after the market opened. As soon as we arrived we were hit with so much beauty and inspiration… I felt like I was home!

We went on the hottest day of the year & have I ever told you how I can’t function in the heat? But for a dream flea market like this… I’m hanging in there like a champ for sure. If you didn’t know, Country Living [yes, the magazine] throws markets around the country a few times a year [you can read more about them all here]. They are highly curated with the best of the best vendors which makes for a really enjoyable shopping experience because as you go from tent to tent you are hit with tons of inspiration and beautiful displays not to mention amazing things to buy. Each vendor has everything from antique finds, salvaged goods, handmade items, & the best home decor. I was so honored to meet so many great vendors yesterday as I was shopping around & also I was lucky enough to see a ton of my old friends selling their goods as well.

I found some awesome little treasures at the market yesterday like a dress from Farmhouse Frocks, some baskets from JBS Mercantile, A blanket from Old Time Marketplace, & a few other treasures that I’ll share with you guys later. I wanted so much more, but I practiced some self restraint & only purchased a few things. My day was more about meeting some amazing creatives, I met a lot of you guys which made my entire day, & hanging out with my hubs doing something that we love is always a dream come true. All in all if you have a country living fair near you [or not like us] I highly recommend going if you love beautiful things & inspiring flea markets.
