Today is a little little little update in the sunroom. It’s teeny tiny & quite perfect if you ask me. You see, I went to a flea market this past weekend with a couple of pals & it was amazing. Amazing in the sense that I needed to be refreshed, inspired, & just have some fun. I feel like lately between everything we have going on, we are not taking the time to rest or do fun things. So, I hopped in the car and drove four hours to a market & I’m so thankful that I did. I found some wonderful treasures & one of them was perfect for our little cottage garden sunroom…

A few months ago we still had a fan hanging in this space from the 80’s. One day on a whim I really wanted the fan taken out of the sunroom so Jose hung a light that we had lying around the house from our last house. It was the wonderful wood bead chandelier from our Painted Fox collection. It worked really well for the time being and I actually really liked it in the space, but there were a few things I was wanting out of the light in this space: 1- a small fixture so that you could see out of the sunroom windows better. 2- a light reflecting light fixtures because of all of the sunlight we get in this space. 3 – A true vintage piece. I’ve said it before, but if I had to choose between a new or a vintage piece.. it will be vintage 98% of the time. More on that later. But as we entered the flea I spotted this crystal chandelier in the sweetest old mans booth & it caught my eye right away. I asked him the price & it was so reasonable [I figured he didn’t know what he had] but I still didn’t want to pull the trigger as it was the first booth we stopped in. So, I told him I would be back. Fast forward to 4 hours later after all of our treasure hunting, I ended up back in his booth & he said “I didn’t know if you would be back or not.” & I told him I didn’t lie when it comes to my vintage finds. We had a good laugh & lucky for me, he went even lower on the price! Flash forward to Sunday afternoon & Jose actually wanted to hang it right away because he was excited to see what it looked like. Well, it looks amazing. I’m so happy with the size of it & the vintage garden flare it adds to the space!

I should add that this light had been re-wired by that sweet old man so we had very little work to hang it after Jose checked it all out. He did a good job! He even meticulously cleaned the crystals. I think that sweet older gentleman could be my best friend. I just wanted to share the new [old] light with you today & not much of the other room because I’ve made some other big changes in the space, but that is for a different day! I hope you enjoyed seeing this new light in the space… Kind of the perfect light for our greenhouse cottage farmhouse. What do you guys think of the new light in the sunroom?
