You guys may have noticed something that I changed when the new year hit if you follow me over on Instagram. I got in front of the mirror. In front of the camera. It’s scary for me & not my favorite thing, but I’m trying this new thing where I’m not so hard on myself & trying to make improvements in my health self love. I’ve noticed that I’m not happy with myself in many areas of my life & to be a better person to those around me… I need to start being better to myself. My thought was well, you need to rip it like a bandaid & stop pointing out your flaws and making excuses & just get in front of the camera. I also wanted to share my outfit details & inspirations with those that love their home decor & their clothing cozy like I do. Along with the outfit of the day photos with outfit details, we have also started vlogging on our youtube channel [HERE] where we share more behind the scenes which has been a huge step out of our comfort zone, but we have enjoyed starting that journey & sharing it with you guys. So there’s that. I’m pretty much a t-shirt and cardigan girl as of late & I’m so ok with that. I’ll be sharing more of these on the blog with you guys as I do more to hopefully inspire you to accept your flaws, love yourself, & get in front of that camera no matter what stage of life you are at. Trust me, after seven miscarriages, gaining a lot of weight, & just not practicing self love, I am not in love with how I look or feel about myself, but getting in front of the camera inspires me to better myself & maybe it will work for you too. I hope you guys enjoy this little series here on the blog & thank you to all of you who have encouraged me to keep sharing these & that have been so kind on my Instagram with me sharing these. This is fantastic!!! My resolution this year is to be gentle with myself, too! And remember: the only reason there are “flaws” is because the rest is SO GOOD. There are a lot of wonderful things about you to love and appreciate ALONG with your flaws, not despite them. When you think of a “flaw” think of a good thing, too, like a corollary. And one day you’ll look and SURPRISE: the good things have outshone the flaws and you stop letting them take center stage. Love your feed, love your blog and love your sharing all these things with us!
