I know that your kitchen is being worked on but I was wondering if you had finished your coffee bar? I loved what you had done and am just being nosy to see what it looks like now. Anyway, I am a huge fan of how you decorate and look forward to your posts.

  5. Susan Tross says:

So I think you are perfectly fine by ‘being messy’ as you say! I can never just stay in one room…. whatever works best for you.
    Love the floors!

  6. Carmen says:

What is the finish like on the OBMP stain? Since it’s an all in one, is it matte, satin?

  7. Hannah says:

I LOL’d at the beginning of your post because I feel ya! Our house has been a construction zone for years and there is unfinished EVERYWHERE. Floors are done in some rooms, but the trim still hasn’t been put back. Walls have been removed and patched, but have yet to be painted. My sister refers to one of my living room walls as the ombre wall because part is old paint, part is new drywall, and part is drywall tape and plaster. I walked through the house yesterday evening and realized that I do not have one finished room in the whole house after 7 years, but I still drug out all the fall decor and decorated anyway. Thank you for all the inspiration and I LOVE the stain.

  8. Jamie says:

Beautiful. I absolutely love the stain that you choose. Saving this post so I can remember it when we redo our own floors.

  9. Sue says:

LOVE how the floors look! Can’t wait to see the finished room. You’re not messy! We would miss you if we had to wait for each room to be completed. Just do what you’re doing. Obviously we love following you – even if it’s from room to room! Love, love, love where your kitchen is going! Thanks for sharing!!

  10. Joan Kearns says:

Girl, your toes are crooked! LOL, I really want to know are those pine floors or what kind of wood. I need to do a whole house and Pine is reasonably priced, but scratches and dents so easily…

  11. That looks lovely! I also custom stained my floor. It’s the best idea because the floor I wanted didn’t come from a can. Well done you.
I’ve only discovered that you write a blog…but you’ve been my Fb friend for a while…what am I like? On my way now to read some more of your posts.

  14. Susan says:

Hi! I love your wood flooring! What type of wood are you using and how wide is it?
