I was reading your post and when you showed your pictures with the removal of shutters my thought was instantly that I liked it without the shutters and then I kept reading and you said the same. I love white houses! I can’t wait to see the results! I live in the south and my other thought was how hot can it be in Michigan? Happy that you are back on track to get it completed!

If it were me, I’d leave the shutters off. I can see where they added some nice contrast with the white paint, but I think it won’t need them when it’s solid white. My house was faded yellow vinyl siding with faded maroon plastic shutters on overly wide windows. When we took the shutters off and painted the house grey, it made the house look brand new instead of 40 years old. Considering it was 8 years old at the time, I’d call that a win.

  3. Kathleen Grace says:

I love white farmhouses! My question is, will you paint the gingerbread trim a color that will contrast? It would be a shame to lose that detail.

  6. Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the
internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they just
don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top
as well as defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
