I wanted to come on here today & share some fun news with you guys! I have gone to Haven, an amazing blogging conference in Atlanta, the past two years. Both times I went with one of my favorite companies ever, GMC, & last year I went as a speaker as well to share my love of Instagram with everyone. It was so fun to share my tips & passion for Instagram with everyone who wanted to learn more & I truly hope that it was a good experience for all who took the class because it was an amazing event in my life & one that I will never forget. This year I am going to Haven again, but this time I will be a mentor along with some other amazing bloggers. I AM SO EXCITED! I absolutely do not have all the answers, I am not a pro blogger, I am not the best blogger, BUT I love sharing things I have learned, things I love doing, & my passion of blogging. This week the other mentors & I are doing a little blog hop & sharing a few tid bits about ourselves & our blogging life…

How long have you been blogging?

I believe it’s been around 4 years. When I lived in North Carolina I was always doing some kind of project so I started a blog to share it with my family and friends that were around the country. I was living the military life with my marine, in school full time & working full time when I started blogging, but it quickly became a huge passion of mine. I can’t tell you how much blogging has changed my life. I found something that I truly love & I found a place I can share my love of everything I am doing with like-minded people. I am so grateful for everyone who comes to my blog daily to read it & see what we are up to, everyone who leaves comments, shares my blog with their friends & family, & just for sharing in this love of DIY & home decor with me. It’s also been a place that I can share our fertility journey & other parts of our journey as well & that has been such an amazing part of my life.

What are my favorite blog posts?

This one is IMPOSSIBLE for me to answer not because I think my blog posts are great, but just simply because I love blogging. I have a few. I loved my natural skincare routine [click here to see the post] because it changed my life & since then I get emails daily about how it has changed other poeple’s lives as well. I also love our middle guest bedroom makeover in our North Carolina house [click here to see the full post] because it was another dramatic makeover & I really had fun with the whole room. I also really love our DIY window cabinet [click here to see it] because it’s so useful & I it’s still in our bathroom getting used daily! 3. What is something significant you learned from a conference?

I have learned a lot at the ones I have attended, but the thing I have learned the most? Community! I have met so many great people at Haven that really have taught me that it’s all about supporting, helping, & truly getting to know others in your blogging community. This is a little struggle for me because I am such an introvert when it comes to reaching out to people, but I have been getting a little better, & have been blessed by many other bloggers initiating community with me. Always remember in anything you do in life.. community over competition. Let’s all help each other out on this journey we are on.
