I love having things in my home that remind me of the people that
I love. My grandma gave me this table & I wanted to keep it
in our home & give it a makeover to restore the condition of the table
so that we could have the table around for years to have it
remind of us of my lovely grandparents every time we look at it…

Before, the table was beautiful, but the top was in pretty bad
condition. I decided to do a small ticking stripe on the top.
I used Duck egg blue & Old White by Annie Sloan.
After painting I distressed the table using a sanding block.

that I have been craving fall so I have been lighting this
pumpkin pie candle {TJ Maxx} all week!

For the thin stripes, I simply taped off small even stripes on the top
with painters tape. I used a brush to paint the old white
on top of the duck egg blue.

I kept the rim of the top of the table natural wood to add a unique
element & also to let some of the antique table show through.
I also left the metal claw feet natural as well.
