One thing I really wanted to incorporate on the blog more in 2016 is more of the “in between” stages of our projects & home. I think I slack on that the most & only share the final reveals. Maybe that makes our projects & rooms seem super perfect & not relatable? Well, I have a secret for you… we are regular people! Our rooms are messy during projects, They aren’t always pretty during, & I think it’s my fault for not always sharing that. So, first up? Guess what we are doing up in the office? SHIPLAP! haha surprise surprise. The rest of our house has shiplap in most of it. The difference? The rest of the house has tongue and groove boards & the office will not be tongue & groove boards. The office is a more affordable & more “DIY” friendly version which we will be sharing all in the final post, but today is just a little sneak peek of the progress of the office shiplap…

The walls just started out with plain drywall & now all of the plywood shiplap boards are up on the wall. We need to do a few trim pieces & then paint all of the boards. Wow. I have a lot of painting to do. I’m thinking of using a different color other than BM dove white that is in the rest of our house.. I know, I’m crazy. But it will probably still be in the white family so don’t think I’ve gone too crazy. Jose did all of this handy work this past weekend while I worked at the store & he did such a great job… so proud of him & his work. I will be back with the finished product, tutorial, tips & tricks, & more of that when it’s finished in Shiplap In The Office Pt.2.
