I’m not always a holiday decorator. Unless we are talking about Christmas & than I’m all about it. But this year after finding a few antique flags I have been really inspired to decorate for Independence day. Just in time for 4th of July, our upstairs living room is decked out for the patriotic holiday & of course I wanted to share with you guys how it’s looking this week. I didn’t do anything too special or even spend a lot of money, but displaying my vintage flags & bringing in some red white & blue that I already had really just made this room scream team USA. You all know I’m all about my neutrals, but I had fun playing with some color in this room. Here is my take on 4th of July decor in our living room…
I hung my vintage flag on the windows behind our couch on our “cottage sign”, it’s not hung perfectly, but I think it looks perfectly imperfect. I added other antique flag finds around the room, my vintage red tricycle because why not, & some red & blue stripe pillows that I found at Marshalls. My method for affordable holiday decor especially holidays that you don’t keep the decor up for long is to use things that you already have, buy discount items, & DIY things. If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you know that I’m not a perfectionist & I think that really reflects in our decor.
& don’t think that I haven’t driven this tricycle around our house. I have to make decorating even more fun that what it already is so why not drive it around? So if you want to come over & drive the tricycle around, there is no judgement here. So there is our 4th of July living room decor. The big question is, do you decorate for 4th of July?
