I think I’ve said this here before on the blog, & I will say it again now. This is my happy place. It’s where I share what I’ve been doing, my creative endeavors of the moment, & just the journey I am on in life. These past couple of weeks [maybe even months?] have had some really hard moments including the death of my grandpa that still hurts so deep some days I lose my breath, but these past few months have also had some major highs as well [way more highs than lows so amen for that] & those highs have made me a super busy little lady. At the end of the day I can hardly keep my little eyes open. I wouldn’t have it any other day.. the things that keep me so busy I can’t think some days are the things that I love doing. I tend to take on a lot of things at once & that’s just how I work, but it catches up to me some times & I tend to slack off in some areas. I feel like lately I’ve bee slacking on my writing on the blog, you know.. sharing what I’ve been up to or how I’m doing, I just let the pictures of what I’ve been up to do the talking. I hope that’s ok with you guys.. I hope that when I go through these seasons that you enjoy the ride with me. Some days I can’t even put words together in my brain & those days I share a pretty project I’ve done that week with little words, but I hope you know that it’s not me not wanting to chat on here, it’s me wanting to come to my happy place to share some happy things with you even when I can’t form sentences. I hope this is your happy place too. I love blogging & hope I can do it forever & ever & I truly hope that through every season here on the blog you will come & visit me, share it with your friends & family, & enjoy this journey with me. I love my DIY friends [that’s you!] near & far. Ever since moving to Michigan I have met so many new & dear friends to me that share the creative gene with me & we bond on that level. I am so thankful for the creative souls I have met since living here, & I truly think God keeps putting these people in my life because he knows I need them. These creative people make the hard days brighter & I will not take that for granted. This past weekend Mr. LMB & I went to support two of my creative friends at the Peddlers Market in Zeeland Michigan & I purchased a few things from them for our casa.

I purchased these antlers from my lovely friend Jess [Jessica & Co vintage] & this chair from another booth at the market [forget the name sadly!] The chair is just pure perfection as is. It’s torn apart & was labeled as a “project” piece, but to be honest I it as is. I will be blogging what I did with it & where it is in our house soon, but today it’s all about those antlers. Oh, & silly face photos are totally necessary right? Thanks Abby & Jess for being so awesome. & also peep my new bag from Better Life Bags, the bag that gives back & helps me keep my hands free on my junkin’ adventures.

For some reason these antique antlers in Jess’ booth stood out to me at the market. I know to some antlers are controversial, but growing up my family lived off of deer meat. My dad was a hunter, a hunter who put food on our table & didn’t do it just for sport. I always think of my dad when I see antlers & I admire them as God’s [my heavenly father’s] beautiful creation. I know we might not all agree on this topic, but let’s all agree to disagree if we do & don’t hate me please.. I’m not going to go around hanging antlers everywhere in this little cottage of ours. I love how they add that rustic cottage charm to our upstairs living room & up close you can really see the antique age of the antlers as well.

The sunlight this morning when I took these photos was spilling in the window making the room golden & highlighting everything in a cozy light that was making me feel those warm fuzzy feels that make me feel happy where I’m at right now. I don’t know how I got so lucky to be doing what I love & surrounded by such amazing friends, & to have the amazing husband God has given me. In this moment I am so content. Thank you guys for stopping by this little blog of mine & for being my friend near & far. Thanks for all your sweet words about my grandpa passing, & just being there for me in the highs & lows.
