about 12 years ago my dad made a wall size chalkboard for my daughter. Various people wrote on it. It has survived several moves and I am waiting until she finally has a home of her own to enjoy it again. (She is @Penn State working on her Master’s ) One very special message on her board was from her grandmother who died 7 years ago.

I love your chalkboard!! Yes it really is that simple, huh? I have been using afaux chalkboard but I think I could actually complete a project like that! Also, I love the plant beside the chalkboard… What is it’s name?

i may need this book! I love chalk boards to write quotes, but what really drives me is quotes that are inspired from Gods word or direct quotes from His word! I want my mind and heart to be filled with Gods truth and there is no better way to keep His word hidden in my heart, than to see the words around me all day! thanks for sharing about the book, I look forward to picking one up! Also, love your quote! it reminds me that i can rest in his sovereignty when things in life just isn’t going as planned! have a great day!

  23. Love your frame and love your message, Liz 🙂

I got a chalkboard at Christmas, but I’d really like to make my own so I can personalize the frame a bit more. Just haven’t decided what size I want yet. I love being able to write quotes on it that I need to read over and over again! Do you own any chalkboard markers? I love writing on mine with chalkboard markers because they write so clear and crisp.

  24. […]   Chalkboard. This is kind of a strange one, but it works for me! If ever I feel like a space is too white or just needs a cozy element, adding a chalkboard seems to work for me. Something about adding that dark paint color & it’s imperfect finish adds a huge element to a room a whole lot of cozy. You could also do a whole wall in your home chalkboard if you are ambitious. Try it… it’s my little secret to making a space cozy. Here is a tutorial on how to make a large chalkboard for yourself [here]. […]
