So, moving back to Michigan has been quite exciting for many reasons. A lot of people are like, “Oh you moved back in the winter, why?” or  “Why would you move back to the cold?” or my personal favorite ” Don’t you know it’s cold there?” Ummmm I have no answer to any of those besides, Michigan is awesome. I love the snow, I love the hot summers, I love the sites, I love the lakes, I love the people, I love the opportunities, & most of all I love that it feels like home. A few things happened right when we moved home that just proved this is where we were supposed to be in the moment & that really showed us why God put us here. I won’t go into boring details, but a lot to do with jobs, schooling, family, & new opportunities. One opportunity that was exciting & a big “Welcome to Michigan” was when Michaela, a wonderful interior designer & creator of The Bloom Workshop, contacted me to speak on the expert guest panel. Say what? Little old me? I was elated! Of course I said yes & so in May of this year in Grand Rapids I will be on the expert guest panel which is a time during the workshop where attendees can ask a panel of experts questions about blogging, social media, business, design, photography & other areas like that. I am so EXCITED! I’m just honored to be a part of something so inspirational to help people in their creative journeys & creative business. That’s me. Just a creative person enjoying this ride in life just like some of you so it’s fun when there are workshops that cater to these things to help us all feel confident in what we do. Creative women rock! Point blank. & we should celebrate that everyday.

Here are some photos from one of the Bloom workshops last year. I mean, even the setting is inspiring. The conference is meant for women who are eager to learn about blogging, social media, photography, interior design and styling. Bloom’s goal is to share knowledge on how each of these topics work together to help take blogs or businesses to the next level. Bloom’s mission is to help fuel women’s creative passions, establish authentic community, and help each attendee feel confident in their small business or blog.  That’s powerful. Women empowering women to succeed in there endeavors. That’s where it’s at. Everything from the setup to the location, to the classes, to the people, it’s all inspiring & I can’t wait to be a part of it all.
