I was helping my friend Christine pack up her house the other day for her move to Japan coming up soon {I’m pretending like it’s not really happening}.  & just like her gray nursery that we styled {here}, we wanted to take pictures of this DIY rustic barn wood corner gallery wall that was in her oldest sons room before we took it down. Barn wood & antlers? You know I’m all for it & I thought a lot of you would love it too. 

These boards are actually fence posts that were used at their families house where they grew up so they have a lot of meaning. They are hung on the wall using 3M strips {about 3 per board}. The rest of the items are hung with nails & screws either to the boards or the wall. Most of the items have meaning & the items were collected over time. I love gallery walls that have a special meaning to the family. This wall was of course for a little boys room, but by changing out some of the details you could completely customize this gallery wall & use it in any room of your home.

I love this gallery wall & how it turned out. I’m so happy that she plans on recreating this wall when they move into their home in Japan. I will be back next week with a piece of furniture that I re-did last week for Christine’s new house just before her big move. Stay tuned for that!
