1. Lynsey says:

Intention is honestly one of my words for this year alongside joy. I want to be more intentional in my thoughts, feelings and what I am doing. I love this outlook on the word.

  2. Pat says:

    Liz,
I adore your Word of the Year!
Please keep your inspiring posts coming!
    Cheers to 2020!
    Pat
P.S. Oh, yes. . .my Word. . .Adapt.
As a Military Wife you will understand this better than most.

  3. Kim Dykman says:

Excellent word ! I wish I could pass it on to some people who really need to be more intent! My word for 2020 is more of a phrase…to be less judgmental and more kind. I need to learn to relax and go with the flow more often. If I were to list all of the “repairs” I need to resolve it would be a pretty long list so I decided to tackle one at a time ! I hope you and yours have another wonderful year!

  4. Kara Quick says:

Love the thoughtfulness of the word! I’ve posted it on my office wall and will remind myself of it everyday! Love your book and your wisdom as we all try to make it through each day with good intentions!

  5. Autumn Smith says:

Love this! My words for the year are Freedom and Love. Freedom from fear, burden of finances, negativity. I also want to show Love in all areas of my life. Cant wait for what 2020 brings! 🙂

  6. Pamela says:

My words for the new year are to fearless and motivated! I need to drop being afraid to step out with new things and just go for it! And I want to be motivated to push through fear to accomplish my goals and dreams!
Thank you Liz for your inspiration both with decor and living a great life!! Xoxo

  7. Tammie Price says:

Love this, Liz!! I chose the word intentional a couple of years ago. Then, last year my word of the year was simplicity. The word I chose for this year is joyful. I love choosing words because after you focus on a word throughout the year it really does stick with you and become kind of engrained in your thought process of the day to day. So as you focus on a new word for different reasons in the new year the ones from the past don’t leave you. Happy New Year, Liz! Wishing you and your family many blessings in 2020!

  8. I absolutely love this, 2020 is going to be amazing!!

  9. Coni says:

Thank you for sharing your reflections on last year and your INTENTION for 2020. I believe being fully present and intentional is the key to truly living each moment. Interestingly, I just read in our church newsletter that on Sunday, members will be asked to draw out a word of the year from a basket to reflect on. Eager to see how this goes.

  10. Lauri says:

Intention is also my word of the year. I need to clear the blocks that keep me from intention in the month of January…that’s my first step!

  11. Ruth Ledyard says:

My word is accept and it is a hard word for me to accept. I have always had too many intentions and have spent my life enjoying every minute I could doing most of the things I enjoyed doing. This included raising my beautiful family, teaching my 7th graders to love learning, making my gardens my passion and being creative in my cooking and my hobbies. I did without a. lot of sleep so I could do the things I loved. I always felt I could do anything I wanted to do if I just put my mind to it. One summer I took 23 kids to Japan, the trip of a lifetime. One summer I got a contract with QVC and painted 500 large santa gourds that sold out in 4 minutes. Every year I planted every pretty flower I could afford and saved pictures on pinterest so I can still enjoy them. I painted, I crafted, I did needlework, I decorated and I enjoyed all of it. Now at 73 my health has taken a turn and I must accept that I don’t have the energy to finish all the things I wanted to do, but I do have the memories and whoever inherits all my stuff, started and unfinished, or just my books of stuff to do, can either give it away, throw it away, or have a lot of stuff to enjoy doing. There is never enough time but that is what makes life so much fun!

  12. Early says:

Live your word. Mine is Possibilitarian.

  13. Kim says:

Me too! I also chose “Intentional”.
Looking forward to all things in 2020! Looking forward to watching your intentional journey as well!

  14. Jacklyn says:

    My word is release!
Releasing trying to impress anybody, releasing control of things I can’t, releasing fear, anxiety, anything that doesn’t serve me in any moment…I’m a 9 and tend to conflict avoid and bottle it all up. Peacekeeper! But I’ve got to work on my inner peace. So, release.

  15. Tammy says:

I love reflecting about last year and starting fresh in the new year. I enjoyed reading your word of the year and how you selected it.

My word for 2020 is create. I selected it for many reasons as I embark on this year’s journey. I want to create a life of purpose; create a healthier me; create a cozy home as we move into our new one; create an even closer relationship with God, my husband and children. The list goes on. As a creative person, I think it’s the perfect for me and this year.

I love hearing about other’s words as well.

  16. Pamela Martin says:

My word this year is WAIT. I am waiting on the Lord’s direction.
It would be very helpful if you could find some way of putting our words out front to remind us.
In the past I have had bracelets, necklaces, stamped spoons. I am looking for something new
this year. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  17. Love your word for this year.. I think we can all use that word to make our lives better every single day… . Wondering where that beautiful table beside u in pic is from? Thanks! Debbie!

  18. Cynthia says:

My word is Believe! Believe in your dreams and you can make them a reality!

  19. Tracy says:

“Live intentionally “ is my phrase for 2020. To be present in the moments with 100% ! It helps me to slow down and make better decisions, to follow through in all areas of my work, home life… I am so looking forward to your blog for 2020 and I have to say I did purchase your book & absolutely love all things about it!!

  20. Leslie says:

Great way of thinking about this thank you!

  21. Angela says:

My 2020 word is “Live”. My sister, who I was very close to, got sick in September and died the same month last year. It caused me to walk in a fog like a robot for the rest of the year. I’ve been crippled with fear ever sense. I’ve been praying for my word and “Live” came shining thru. I am going to prayerfully work thru taking small steps into living my life again and overcoming some fears to try new things on this beautiful earth we have. Thank you for being brave and sharing your word and your creative world with us!

  22. Nancy in WA says:

My word for the year 2020 is “center.” I want to live from my center, and I want to center my life on what matters. What matters most to me is my Savior, and He, in turn, created life’s so that when I center my life on him I can have “all the things” my creative heart desires. Not easy, but simple! ? I love hearing about your Word, and those of others.

  23. Kayla Lynn says:

I took the test and received four as well. It honestly describes me well. I’m also a Pisces, so I literally live in a dream world. Though life isn’t always the dream world I hope for. Sometimes not at all. I pray 2020 makes things happen and that I can live some of my dreams and the struggle just seems so far away. I pray for the happy girl back. I also pray that everyone else’s hopes and dreams come true this year❤️

  24. Amanda says:

I love being intentional! It helps me define where I’m at at all times. I went to an Enneagram workshop in November with Suzanne Stabile! She wrote “The Path Between Us”. She was wonderful. I am a 9. A Peacemaker and I was most intrigued with 4’s. There are fewer 4’s than any other Enneagram number.

  25. I to, just lost my sister.

  26. Angela says:

I am so sorry Anjy to hear of the passing of your sister. It’s so difficult some days, I hope your memories of her bring you comfort.

  27. It looks amazing! Wonderful post. Good information keep posting.

  28. Donna says:

My word for the year is “important”. I love the way it sounds and if you listen for it in conversations it comes up all the time. My goal for this word is to realize what is truly important in my life.

  29. Kelli-Beth Kellogg says:

2020: my word/phrase is ‘self care”. i take care of so many people and things and seem to forget myself in doing so. this year and for always, i will make the time to care for myself; my creativity, my health, my inner soul that needs rest and calm, and my physical health and diet, and to make the extra time for friends and family. Self-care comes in so many colors and shapes, but the happiness and calm it could bring, by just focusing on myself once in awhile, should prove amazing, here’s to 2020 and beyond!
