What color of white do u use for bedroom walls?

  2. Lynsey says:

one word- obsessed. I am so in love with this, as I am decorating for Christmas I am trying to add things in that can transfer to winter décor. I may keep the twinkle lights out after the holiday because I am in love with the cozy glow.

  3. Liz Marie says:

Oh this makes me happy. Yes Winter decor sometimes is overlooked and forgotten. SO I am so happy this helps inspire your next look!

  4. Liz Marie says:

Walls and trim are both the same color. We went with Pure White by Sherwin Williams. Its a tad on the creamy and warm side which helps diffuse the green tones from the grass reflecting during the summer and warms up the room when its snowing out cutting down the blues. Hope this helps!

  5. Sue says:

Hello beautiful friend, where did you get the felt garland falalalala?

  6. Kelly haug says:

Love this room and hope to make a fireplace like yours one day ❤️ Could you please tell me where the pillows are from? I love the soft cozy look of them.

  7. Liz says:

Hi Sue, it is from Sugarboo & Co. here is the link! https://www.sugarbooandco.com/felt-fa-la-la-la-la-garland/

I love your comments and tips about keeping our homes cozy during the winter months, even after Christmas. I’m in Minnesota, and unfortunately winter doesn’t go away when the Christmas decorations come down. I’m with you, winter is hard enough as it is, lets keep our homes magical and cozy throughout the winter.

I, too, want to keep the cozy feel longer than December. I appreciate the thought process you’ve shared, that’s where I get hung up. I received your book as a Christmas gift earlier this month and am saving it til the Rush is over and I can curl up and enjoy with a cup of tea. Thanks from another Michigander.

Love all your cozy bedroom decor. Aquaphor is the best. Put on your lips before going to sleep. It works?

  11. Ang@lappfarm says:

I guess I never thought about it but I basically just do winter decor. Natural elements all the way. Love your reading corner!! I got 2 white wingback on black Friday and cant wait to do the same thing in front of our master bedroom fireplace! Cheers!

Liz Marie is this your go to white for all your walls or do you use different ones depending on other factors for each room? I’m doing a room with white walls. I’m really nervous about it. I have not had white wall since my apartment days I do remember how cold they could be I do remember how cold they could be. By the way; Using the word cozy with the word white in the title of your book really captures your unique corner of the design world.

  13. Liz says:

I really love this white in our home, but I will say the lighting in your home can completely change the way the white looks. I would recommend getting a sample first to make sure you like the way it looks in natural light in your home, not too warm or not too cool for your taste!

  14. Teddee Grace says:

I so agree with your philosophy about decorating for winter, not necessarily for Christmas. I’ve been doing this for several years now and especially in the foothills of the Rockies it really doesn’t get old at least before Valentine’s Day and often beyond that if you just tweak it again for the romantic holiday and then remove those bits just like you did after Christmas.

  15. Terri says:

Where did you get the little tree? I love it so!

  16. Elizabeth says:

Love your home & ideas. Where did you get the mirror above the fireplace? Unique. Elizabeth

  17. I’m a big fan of keeping some winter that has sparkle out after Christmas. It will be fun to see how you edit this after Christmas.

  18. Jess says:

Loving this gorgeous vignette, Liz. Especially your fireplace. I live in a century old home with closed mantelpieces in EVERY. SINGLE. ROOM. I’ve pained some of them with pretty patterns, added German shmeared brick, even painted the inside of one with chalkboard paint for my daughter to draw on. But I’m thinking of adding a firebox in our bedroom and living room to add that extra bit of cozy that I so crave. Where’d you get yours? Any tips for me?
