There are so many things I wanted to do this year with Christmas decorating. Many things we tackled and some ideas we just didn’t get too. The number one thing that was on this list was to style Cope’s Christmas Nursery. I mean this is the grand finale, out of all the different looks for Christmas, why not end with the space that I have looked forward to decorating and spending time with and thats our nursery.

I quick backstory about this nurseries current state and how it came about. Currently, this is 100% Cope’s bedroom. We play in here, read in here, and the best of all around 7:30-8pm, he kicks us out and he sleeps in his crib for the night. The boy love sleep, if there is a way- he got that from me! About a year before we would find out about Cope, Jose and I took a big leap of faith, and had this cute little wallpaper installed, committing to growing our family in a physical sense. We slowly collected, bought, and kept our eyes out for things that would go in this nursery. And just like the rest of my home decor, we figured we would change it, but one of the biggest takes aways from my book, Cozy White Cottage, is that I want that cozy factor of decorating your home to be felt by all people in your family, creating that feeling of love with being home and in your cozy spaces. And my belief is that, regardless if he’s 10 months old, and not understanding what and how I decorate his room, I warms my heart to see him get excited every night we head up for bed and go through our routine. He knows this is his space, and right now he loves his space, and that make me feel like I have truly achieved cozy for my little man and that smile when he is in his room speaks volumes.

We love Christmas time here on the farm, each space in the house gets decorated to show our love for the season. For Cope’s Christmas nursery, I went very folksy and Whimsical. This short tree I got from targer (link here) and these felt ornaments I bought from Urban outfitters and Anthropolgy, really hit that vibe of soft, cozy, and relaxed.

I changed out the piece above the sofa, from an old cubby to this shelf. We have received a few paintings of Winnie over the years, and this was the perfect place to display Cope’s puppy. Each side of the paintings I added a few smaller Christmas elements to carry the festive charm throughout the space.

Next this cute pine bookshelf I bought from one of my favorite antique shops in Grand Rapids. This space displays another fun splash of christmas with a small tree and soft felt ornaments, simliar to the tree on the coffee table.

I add some extra elements to the coffee table like his letter box for letters to Santa. I hope we can incorporate this into his room each year somehow, especially when he can write letters himself. .

We look forward to spending some family time in here over or little Christmas break. It is so much fun watching Cope discover everything within reach, and I hope I can keep him smiling each time he walks into his room.
