Sometimes in the world of blogs and social media, it can appear that everyone’s lives are perfect, they have an abundance of stuff, and their homes are filled with luxury items. I hope that by sharing my heart and my story every day on the blog & social media you can see that my life isn’t perfect but that I always try to find the best in every situation. And that you can see the ways in which I strive to make my life cozier. Today I am sharing a simple dining room table, but I hope everyday that the blog and wherever else you follow me bring you joy, make you feel a little less alone in the hard times and show you attainable ways to make your life cozy.

I know I’ve fallen into the mindset, before, that more things can make you happy, but having more or having what someone else has won’t do that. This is why not only do I want to show you guys all of the intricate details we add to our home but also the simple ways I decorate our home! I’ve noticed that the simple ways I bring seasonal touches and decor into our home are some of my favorites. More can be beautiful, but simple can sometimes be better. Do what feels right for you & where you are in this season of your life. Sometimes it’s putting a couple pumpkins from the local farm stand on your dining room table & that can be a beautiful thing…

Falls my favorite season & I love the ways you can bring simple touches of fall into each room with pumpkins … Whether you stack them, line them up, or layer them pumpkins are one my favorite fall decor items. Our dining room has these simple touches of fall with the pumpkins on our dining room table and a few small pumpkins on the built-in shelves.

I love our dining room table from Arhaus so much. It is sturdy and durable and fits perfectly in our dining room! We have had this table for about a year & I just love that everyone who comes over asks if the table is an antique piece… it fits right into our home here on the farm! One thing I’m really excited to share with you guys is that during the month of October Arhaus is donating 10% of custom table sales to The Small World. The Small World gives women, especially those who are single or widowed with children, valuable marketable skills, like training in traditional weaving techniques.
