You guys know how much I love gallery walls. All different parts of my home have been turned into gallery walls. Normally I go pretty large scale with my gallery walls but this is the perfect gallery wall for a small space. In our office reveal [HERE], I shared a shot of this layered gallery and you guys have wanted to know how to recreate it ever since!
The supplies you need for this DIY are the frames you want to use, regular nails, extra long nails, and a hot glue gun. The amount of nails & extra long nails needed depends on how many frames you plan to hang & how many you want to be 3-D.
I started by hanging some frames on the wall to create my “base” for the gallery. Once I liked the layout of the base frames, I hot glued the panoramic frame on top of the base to start the layered look. You could hot glue as many as you wanted to continue layering but I only used one frame. Then, I used an extra-long nail to add to the 3-D look of the gallery wall. I decided that I only wanted one frame to appear 3-D for this wall but you could do as many as you want in your space!
I know this was a super easy DIY but I hope this gives you some inspiration for creating your own layered gallery wall! Here’s a way to achieve the same look without hot glue… basically use long picture wire on the back of your frames and rest one from one another.

oops… should have said… rest one frame on the other.
Not having to use hot glue helps to preserve the integrity of the frames, especially if/when you decide to dismantle the gallery wall and use the pictures & frames elsewhere,

I wouldn’t have thought the hot glue would be strong enough to hold frames complete with glass.
