Perhaps you should read the US Flag Code, 4 USC Section 8.
“The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.”

  2. Carole says:

Its not a current flag, it’s an antique, has 48 stars, I have an old one too, and I cherish it because of the age. Prior to Hawaii and Alaska. So the flag is before 1959, I was born in 1958, so it is cool to me, when is it from? It is in perfect shape too, no damage at all. I also have my father’s and my father-in-law’s folded because they were vets and have both pasted on.

  3. Please says:

Hustband? Girl, your blog posts are always riddled with errors of all sorts. You’ve just written a book. Be a professional and have someone proofread your stuff before posting. There is no shame in asking for help. Some people are not great at spelling. The custom ordered ‘Vegatables’ sign should have made you realize.

  4. Camille says:

Your lack of correct spelling is appalling. There vs. their, chord vs. cord, peak vs. peek are just a few examples. These are simple words that an adult should know.

  5. Joan P says:

Perfect people should write their own blog and not criticize those that are normal and genuine people. If you don’t like what is being said or how it’s said or even how it’s spelled, go somewhere else. Why people think they have the right to tear someone down over a “mistake” is incomprehensible to me. This blog is just someone sharing their thoughts and ideas not “War and Peace”

  6. Linda Searby says:

If I took a picture of my open kitchen shelves would you give me advice on how to improve the styling?

  7. Barefootbentessa says:

I have noticed these thi gs also but chose not to ever comment on them because Liz Marie blog and posts bring me joy and I would never want to embarrass her or hurt her feelings. People say things behind the anonymity of social media that they would never say to someone in person.

  8. glenda lafont says:

I enjoy all of your posts typo errors and misspelled words. If people can’t say anything nice they shouldn’t
    say anything at all.

  9. Please says:

I would say it in person as it’s embarrassing to see it happening. I know Liz is over sensitive but it’s a helpful thing to suggest. If it’s a hobby blog then it’s not an issue, but this is part of her job/career that she’s created. Well done for her. It’s just another way she could polish the entire thing. At this point an editor is necessary.

  10. Please says:

LMB is a business. She just put out a book. It’s absolutely ridiculous to say she shouldn’t care about errors. Each blogpost is sponsored and has affiliate links. It’s helpful advice. No one is perfect. It comes off as unprofessional when each post is littered with errors. I would hope that she would take the advice for what it is, helpful.

  11. Camille says:

It’s not just one mistake. It’s multiple errors. In every single post.

  12. michelle says:

I love your pretty posts and look forward to them every day, I personally don’t care or even notice if you spell a word wrong or make a mistake, we all do! I come here to get inspired and see what you’re up to and I love it all, I’m not looking for an English lesson 🙂
Block those nasty people from spoiling it for everyone else who’s not like that!

  13. Donna Marie Stenger-Smith says:

There are always spelling police!I have been embarrassed by misspellings many times! Love your blog! Love you! Sure they were just trying to help! Just wait when your little man grows up and tells you misspelled! Oh well!

  14. Karen says:

If you were driving through town and saw that the advertising sign under McDonald’s or Burger King misspelled “bugers four 99 sense today only” would that make you want to stop in and eat there? Nah. You’d think, “No wonder they work there. They sound ridiculous. I bet my order would be wrong!” Same thing here. She’s claiming to be a designer and inspiration, plus constantly shills products. It’s called professionalism. No one was being unkind. I cannot stand when fangirls act like a persons behind doesn’t stink! This is “Everyone deserves a trophy” mindset.

  15. Your Friend says:

    Miss Liz Marie,

Thank you for always sharing your heart and passions. I read your blog and Instagram posts daily and you inspire me daily. Keep being you and keep doing you because you are a true talent and have a gorgeous soul.

P.S. To The Negative Commenters: Spread LOVE. As my wise Kindergarten teacher once said, “If you do not have anything nice to say, then do not say anything at all.”

  16. This is so beautiful! Those chairs are gorgeous, I absolutely love them and that flag is amazing. You always inspire me with your decor. I’ve had people be very nasty on my blog about typos or errors, and know how crushing it can be. I’m so sorry they had to be so cutting on this one. Please keep doing what you do, and being a light in this world.

  17. Gayle says:

Luci & please (I’m sure you know how to spell your real name though) …….You both are posting a lot of negative comments, why is that? Usually people who only see the negatives in things are negative people. Are you a negative people? Instead of complaining why don’t you try and see and say something positive about Liz’s posts? Have you both ever made a mistake in life? Whether you’re a professional or not? Do you think it’s helpful to her pointing out these things? I think not! She’s put her heart & soul out there for us to read. She’s been through so much and then people like you come along and point out petty little things that YOU choose not to overlook.

  18. Denise says:

Those chairs are amazing! Love the flag too. Your patriotic posts helped remind me that I have 2 old red trikes in my basement that need to see the light of day. 🙂 Speaking of light – you are such a bright light and I look to your blog for inspiration everyday. 🙂

  19. Michele says:

    Hey Liz,
Thank you for your inspiring posts and for showing your patriotism. I cannot believe the negative posts – there are literally bazillions (sp?) of blogs to follow – If someone gets upset about your spelling errors that much to want to post about it, they should seek inspiration elsewhere – perhaps a perfect blog. I actually can relate to you more with the errors as a widowed single mom who runs around half the time stressed to the max – LUV your blog mistakes and all!

  20. Sarah says:

Wow.. Eye yam disgusted bye the negative and hurtful commints on hear. ? Liz Marie is a human and makes mistakes and being her sweet vulnerable self is in part what makes her so freaking lovable and relatable. That and her undeniable talent for making things beautiful. I so hope that Liz does not take the put downs to heart. We love you Liz Marie.???

  21. Robin says:

Thanks to your husband (and you) for his service to our country. I love your blog and look forward to seeing your posts. Happy 4th of July!

  22. jsuzane says:

I love LMB and I do not mind the errors, we are human after all. However, I do “worry” about the flag touching the floor. I may be old fashioned, but it just doesn’t feel right. I know, just my opinion. But I do love the look of the flag, beautiful.

  23. Jeffrey says:

    Liz,
Awesome use of an antique flag. I too use antique flags for my patriotic displays. I feel they remind us of our history and can be reminders of how we have grown as a country.
Are the leather chairs vintage as well?
Unfortunately we forget what we have learned and at times people regress to being less than kind to one another.
I would hope that everyone here pointing out the slightest of error also places this much energy into something humanitarian.

  24. Elle says:

    Please,

You have neglected to insert a number of commas in your own posts. Perhaps before you attempt to correct someone else’s spelling, you need to check your own posts and check for grammatical errors. While you may not be posting for or representing a business, it certainly speaks to your own lack of understanding of basic English. Now, how did that feel?

No one is perfect. If a spelling or grammatical error bothers you, perhaps you should not frequent written blogs.

  25. Please (gfys) says:

? Piss off. I didn’t mention anything about commas or punctuation. I can find that forgivable. (Unless it completely changes the meaning of the sentence). Spelling? No. If I am posting a blog or a public post then I proofread. Spell check AND Google are great tools. My feelings are not hurt at all. I love constructive criticism. When I’m at work and my boss asks if I can improve something I do not get upset. Self-improvement and evolving are good things!! Unfortunately people on here seem to become butthurt and defensive over these things. I would say that the reactions say more about you all than it does about my post. Thank you for the reply sweetheart. 😉

  26. Deanna J Chesney says:

We are all going to be judged someday. Kindness to others will be on the required list, spelling, and grammar are not. If the defense of Liz’s errors offend you so much that you must be unkind, and foul mouthed, you should just move on for your soul’s sake. Manners are disappearing in this country at such a fast pace that I am appalled. These days the most exercise I get is shaking my head. PS I love you, Liz!
