I think one of the biggest compliments I get in life is that our home looks cozy or even a few times people have dubbed me the cozy queen and that is just like a big warm hug to me. Honestly it’s one of my main goals for our home is to be cozy & I have a few tips and tricks that I use in all our spaces to make them cozy. I hope that all my posts can inspire you in some small way to make your homes cozy, but today I wanted to share one big tip that I use in all our spaces that can help you cozy up any space in your home…

The tip? LAYERS. ALL THE LAYERS. This can be done in so many different ways, but today I wanted to decomonstrate this tip on an entryway table for you guys, but this can be done literally anywhere with so many different materials. Here are some great layering items:

Picture layering pillows on a sofa with mixed patterns & a cozy throw. Picture styling bookshelves with layers of art, books, plants, & antique clocks. Don’t all those layers sound cozy? Well today I wanted to share this entryway table that I layered with a mirror, architectural salvage, a sign, plants, baskets, & cozy linens…

The secret to layering? It’s quite easy when you keep a few goals in mind for your layering:

This entryway table was a fun way for me to demonstrate layers today. I chose this mirror from Anthropologie [Here] with some architectural salvage pieces behind. I went with the height of the stairs with my layering pieces so the taller windows are on the high part of the staircase. In front of that I added a basket with some linens for some ultimate cozy texture. The mix of patterns and all the texture of the basket work well together. to make the layer of the mirror and the windows seamless I added a sign from Keena Alyce designs [HERE] that she so lovingly gifted us for our adoption. The words are not only beautiful, but they also add a different element to all the layering. In front of the windows I added some candlesticks for height and then for the ultimate cozy texture I added this bowl of greens from The Accidental Farmgirl [HERE]. All together it’s a cozy mix of layers. Now this is a lot of layers on this entryway table & they are not all needed to make a cozy look, but of course I love all the layers & I really wanted to demonstrate how they can be done. Feel free to do as many layers that you feel comfortable with!

Layers are one of my key factors of making every space in our home cozy so I hope to demonstrate that more for you guys in future blog posts and on Instagram [HERE]. It really is all about the layers & I hope this post showed that today. What layering tips do you guys want to see? What examples do you want me to demonstrate? What areas of the house do you guys want me to show layers in? Let me know below or on Instagram [HERE].
Seriously, one of my favorite vignettes ever. Adore the layered neutral things together. LOVE.
Oh Liz that sign has my heart so full it’s perfect for y’all!
Ps some commenters were trying to get the info on the watch for the valentines ideas for men.. all the links for the men items were listed but the wooden watch * just a random FYI because I went to it to order from it 🙂

Thank you for the tips! I have a very narrow mantel over the fireplace – any ideas? It’s hard to layer.
Love this entry with all the neutrals and texture. Great advice!
Ohhhh Myyy Goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous vignette …. 🙂
you could try using a few command strips to mount things on the wall and sit stuff in front of them. That way you can still have bigger pieces in the background.
Love this vignette!
