This post is like one of those things that I’ve been envisioning in my mind, but that I never thought that I would be able to post visually for you guys because it would just remain one of those creative ideas in my head. Well, a couple weeks ago you guys remember when we had Renewal By Andersen here at the house replacing our windows? Before they came we had to shuffle some things around to clear a working zone for them for the window replacement. It wasn’t a big deal at all & we love moving furniture so it was actually kind of fun for us. Two big things we had to move around were a sofa & the computer desk. I decided to have a little fun with that big shuffle & have a decor daydream come to life…

I always wondered what our office would look like as a sitting room & this little shuffle allowed me to get a tiny glimpse into what that could look like. This sofa from our formal sitting room up front was shoved into this space in our office in front of our built-ins & these photos kind of prove that built-ins are a pretty neat backdrop to a sofa. Think of all the things you could display in these in a living room space like books, family photos, plants, & so much more. The sofa we moved in here is the one from our painted fox collection [HERE] & I think the design of this sofa goes well with all of our vintage collections we have displayed in here. A fun

Our office is not staying like this & will be switching back asap, but before I did that I wanted to share how this looks in case you have always wondered what this space would look like as a living room as well. Of course if I was actually going to make this a sitting room/ living room space I would make many many more changes, but I think just this tiny little change gives a good glimpse at all the potential. I love the idea of built-ins in the living room space from around the fireplace to around a window to even just filling a large wall space.
