I am so excited to be sharing this simple farmhouse thanksgiving tablescape with you guys today! I worked with Balsam Hill on this project and I love how it turned out because it’s so simple and I feel like this holiday season that is where my heart is. My brain has been quite chaotic these past few months from miscarrying, being busy with work, & just working on the house in general so going simple for the holidays especially because we are hosting this Thanksgiving was very much needed & dear to my heart. When I first started planning this post I picked out the apple spice garland from Balsam Hill & I had some plans to make an eclectic centerpiece with it with candlesticks & more, but after getting the garland in the mail & draping it on our harvest table I thought that the garland really spoke for itself…

 

 

 

 

After laying the garland on the center of the table I knew right away that I didn’t need to add anything else. I loved how simple and welcoming the garland was on its own & the laid back vibe it gave. I really started to think that when our guests came into our home this Thanksgiving how uncomplicated our thanksgiving decor will be and how we can focus on each other more than the decor in the room. More time to sit and say what we are thankful for all the things? We will see! I loved that the garland looked like items we could pick up off our farm which felt really natural to our decor. For a little simple DIY that fits in with the garland I made some apple name tags with some local farm apples and garden tags with our guests names on them. That’s it, all the glassware, silverware, & napkins will be in a buffet style the day of to keep things comfortable & customizable to each guests need. & let’s just face it… we are casual people so no need to be too fancy. Cozy & casual… just how we like it!!

Sometimes Thanksgiving tablescapes can be grand, fancy, and and more intriquite, but sometimes a simple garland is so beautiful that it speaks for itself & it let’s you be your best casual laid back self.
