I’m back with another update on our upstairs makeover today! We are just beginning the makeover up here, but it’s already getting exciting. I shared last week [HERE] that we ripped out all of the carpet in our upstairs which was super exciting! It came on quickly because we wanted to hire out for that job & the people we were hiring didn’t have an opening for a while, but randomly the night before they told us they were able to come the next day & just like that all of the old smelly carpet is gone from our entire upstairs… SO THANKFUL! Though we have a TON to do up here, having the flooring in already feels better even though it doesn’t look to pretty…

Well, of course once the carpet was up we were left with subfloor & we had to lay new floors down. That’s why I wanted to pop in here today to just quickly answer the question we have been getting about what flooring we were putting in our upstairs…. well, the answer is… the same flooring we used in our downstairs! Yup, 8 inch pine boards just like we have in part of our downstairs that we painted. & yup, we will be painting it upstairs as well. Not sure the color yet, but I’ll get back to you on that. We installed the pine in the hallways, master bedroom, & guest bedroom in the upstairs. You can see our pine flooring downstairs & get all the info about what wood we use [HERE]. This isn’t a pretty post at all because the flooring installers just left today so this is what we are left  with, but I’ll be back with a pretty flooring update soon! I just want to update you guys on the way for the big and the little things… Can’t wait to get some paint on these!
