This past week was ROUGH if I do say so myself. I mean, one word: Shingles. Yup, your girl got the shingles from being too stressed [You can read more about it [HERE]]. But you know what? I’m feeling so much better now. Like, soooo much better. But you know what? If I look back at last week there was way more positive than negative & that means that it wasn’t that bad. I can look back on everything that has happened in my life and say the same thing. From our fertility journey, to our military life, to our miscarriages… I can see the light in it all & I think that’s a gift God has granted me & I will thank Him for that every day. Last week was just a small little blip and that shingles diagnosis was a welcomed wake up call to be healthier & a better version of myself. Ok, that got deep… I didn’t mean to do that to you, but I guess what I’m trying to say as I preface this post is that I’m not downplaying what happened to me last week and the bad diagnosis I got, I’m just saying that there is always positive among the trials. One big positive of last week? I got to do some picking twice, once at a flea market & once at a cute little shop in Indiana that I blogged about [HERE], & I wanted to share my little haul with you guys today in hopes that it cheers you up, inspires you, & helps you with what to look for next time you are at an antique shop or flea market…

I found two sets of drawers at a flea market this past weekend at the flea market & I am obsessed with them! I placed them both in our kitchen for now. The best part is? They are super clean & great for storage. I will keep you updated with what I end up storing in these babies! Oh, & I also found that great number sign on top of that drawer set… I don’t know why I was drawn to it, but I loved it!

I got a great hook set at the flea market this weekend that I thought would look great above our stove area. We are eventually getting a new stove, but I think these hooks look great here maybe with some pans hanging on them? Again, I’m sure you will see these updated soon, but I’m loving the hooks so far & how they break the space up!!

Another couple of flea market finds this week was this gorgeous lead glass window & this crock that I placed in our sunroom. I got both for a steal which was so exciting because I’ve always had an obsession with both.

My last flea market finds are in the dining room & they were a planter that is really an old grain sifter & some old antique welding kit boxes that begged me to get them with that green paint color mixed with that duck egg blue.

A few of my finds from last weeks trip to Old thyme marketplace in Indiana to visit Beth & her new shop that I’ll share a lot more of later, but I didn’t want to keep you waiting because I know a lot of you were asking. First up is the big guy… a dining room table & 10 white chippy antique chairs. I will share more of it later like I said, but I find myself collecting tables & this one is a gem! I also got an antique chippy cloche that I put in the sunroom.I picked up an old kerosene can to put plants in there as well, I mean look at that color.. I had to! That tall lamp was also a find from Beth’s shop that her husband made & I just loved how unique it was. Also, white & chippy? Sign me up!  I really just wanted to buy everything in Beth’s shop, but I had to limit myself. You can see more of her shop [HERE].

Seriously such a great week of treasure hunting despite my setbacks. I love finding new [old] items for our farmhouse & these truly brought some joy to our week. I hope that they inspired you in some way & that you leave this post feeling joy even if you are going through some hard times right now. Like I said I will be back in later posts showing these items in our home more, but I always find it fascinating to see what others pick up while out antiquing so I hope this glimpse was entertaining for you!
