  4. Kym says:

Hey Liz so you The Grand Hotel offers some really sweet deals in the fall. I got to eat in there dining room for dinner once and had cordials on the porch at sunset. It was awesome!

  5. Alex says:

We always love getting to know you more. Thank you for sharing! Where do you go to listen to/download the audio books and podcasts you listen to?

  6. Kristin says:

Omg Christopher Lowell was the best lol!! I love that you used to take pictures of your room all the time 🙂

  7. Kim Dykman says:

Happy Birthday to my sweet niece of 30 years!!! I can’t believe it…I could add a few more wonderful things on your list so if at 40 you run out, let me know ! Congrats on the puppy ! She is so adorable and I can’t wait to meet her! LOVE big dogs and she looks like she is going to grow into those paws ! See you soon! LOVE YOU !

  8. Robin says:

Miss LizMarie, Happy 30! You never feel your age…I’m almost 57(wow, really, that was hard to write) and feel like I’m 30, lol! Do not be to hard on Miss Winnie…being a Great Pyrenees, she’s nocturnal and a protector, so she will be great for Grace and your flock when she gets older! On staying at the Grand Hotel…yes, a must! It was a dream of mine, too… We finally stayed there for our 25th wedding anniversary. Drinks on the grand porch and cupola bar (the views!!!), dressing for dinner, dancing with the big band and an unforgettable brunch Sunday morning. We used to visit every trip, but never stayed until our 25th. We live in Tennessee now and our guest room is dubbed the Mackinac Room, but is not decorated in quite the same way as a Grand Hotel room! (Stay and you’ll understand). Blessings for a wonderful year!!!

  9. Sandy says:

I loved hearing about the 30 random things about you. Some people would call me an introvert because I’m pretty social but on all the tests I took, I’m really an introvert. I need to come home and unwind and decompress after being in social situations. I’m obsessed with HGTV and changing things in my decor too. So glad that you love blogging and being on Instagram because I love both! You have created such a gorgeous space on your farm! I love your new puppy and those big cute puppy feet! I hope and pray that you and Jose will be able to create a beautiful family together. In the meantime, you sure have some wonderful animals on the farm! You are absolutely gorgeous and I would never know that you aren’t comfortable in front of the camera because you are such a natural!

  10. Sandy says:

Robin, I’m 62 and definitely feel much younger. I would love to stay at the Grand Hotel one day! I’ve only been to Macknaw Island once and I’m a mitten gal!

  11. Di says:

Sweet girl. Do not ever say you don’t deserve us (or anything) for that is to doubt God and His gifts to you. You deserve everything He has given you, and everything He has in store for you.

  12. Linda Asly says:

Is your precious pup a rescue?

  13. Happy birthday! 30 is big! It’s crazy how it happens and yet you still feel like you’re in your 20s… Ok so I loved Christopher Lowell, too! I remember him always saying, “Like so,” 100x an episode when he was showing the viewers how to do something haha. And your puppy is so cute! I hope you get some sleep soon 🙂

  14. Tammie Price says:

Love this, Liz! Your new puppy is so cute. One of my all time favorite movies is Something’s Got to Give, also! And thanks for the reminder about the Christopher Lowell Show! I just had to go watch some old episodes on YouTube! Haha..

  15. Chelsea says:

Liz! I have been reading your blog for awhile, but never commented! Your Christopher Lowell comment has me laughing out loud!!! I used to watch that show all the time!! Tassels and ACRYLIC LIFTS AND LEVELS!!!!

  16. Nancy says:

Happy Birthday Liz! Thanks for all you share with us! Your puppy is precious. Our puppies stopped barking so much at night once they were comfortable at our home…within a week. And the potty training….huge. The main thing I remember is being consistent and taking them out potty ALOT and saying Go Potty. It didn’t take long and they mastered it. You just have to keep by their little sides when they are awake. Or being in their crate, which makes them feel secure. I’m sure your puppy feels lots of love from you both!!

  17. Debi says:

I loved Christopher Lowell!!! Yes, he did love his tassels! What ever happened to him? And Lynette Jennings and Kitty Bartholomew!!!

  18. Jessica says:

Are you a fellow Michigan creative blogger AND a fellow Murderino?!

  19. Molly H. says:

  20. Shelley says:

Wishing you a belated Happy Birthday Liz Marie! The best is yet to come!
I, too, love Christopher Lowell! I used to watch him all the time! I especially loved what he could do with a bolt of muslin and a staple gun! He was brilliant – I learned so much from his show and I miss him!

  21. Beverly A. MARTIN says:

Happy birthday Lizmarie! 30 is a woderfull place!

Regarding #30, The Grand Hotel is amazing. We vacationed there several years back. Definitely a Moment in Time. From the time you board the ferry and cross over. Luggage loaded at the dock and carried by antique wagon and beautiful horses up hill to the hotel..
Lilac season is best and you will never be dissapointed. It is pricy but stay for more than a night. Maybe three? You will get there. I would do it again in a minute. Have a wonderful 30th yeat.

  22. Donna says:

Happy Birthday, sweet Liz Marie! I enjoy your posts and blog. Thank you for everything you do. Cheers to being 30!

  23. Sam says:

Happy birthday!! Somethings Got To Give is one of my all time favs too. #housegoals. I love the actors but could watch it over and over just for her house!!!!

  24. sharon says:

Happy belated birthday! It’s scary how many things on your list I answered ‘me!’ on!
Including the introvert/but doesn’t want to be left out, the drink in my hand, Christopher Lowell–I could identify with A LOT. When I was little I loved Barbies, but mostly because I loved designing and re-designing their homes. I also loved to rearrange my room, all the time! I agree that it is like therapy for me! I can’t explain it, but it brings such satisfaction!

  25. Delilah says:

Happy birthday beautiful lady! I love your blog. I too am praying that God blesses you with a baby soon!
    xoxo

  26. Sharon C says:
