I’m a little nervous & a little excited to share this post with you guys today. We are coming up on a new year & Jose & I have been wanting to try something new for a while now, but just never did it for a few reasons… one we didn’t know what we were doing, two we weren’t sure if it would be something anyone would want to see, & three we were waiting until life looked more perfect. Well here we are. We started a Vlog. For those of you who don’t know, that’s a video blog, shortened to vlog. We decided to go for it because we figured we could learn how to do it as we go, we figured you guys would let us know what you wanted to see, & we found out life will never be perfect & we should be scared to show that….
The reason we wanted to start a vlog is because we wanted to show a different side of our life. You guys get to see the photos daily here on the blog & read what I write [sorry I’m not a writer & I barely edit my posts.. but I hope you still love coming here daily for inspiration]. But we wanted to show more raw, unedited, natural, & unique behind the scenes look at our life. Each vlog will be totally different & some will have talking, some will be just around the farm, some will be DIY projects, some will be more decorating, some will be our animals, some will be more personal, some will be fancier, some will be more relaxed, but I hope that each one gives you a special look at our lives that you hadn’t seen before. So without going on and on more, here is our first vlog…
We started last week when you all know I was super sick so it wasn’t a great week to start this whole thing, but again when is a good time to start? So I was down on the couch for most of the week & when I was up I wasn’t doing much. It wasn’t super eventful, but it’s a start & a glimpse at maybe the not so cute side of runny noses, sweatshirts daily, & some messy farm work. I managed to get off the couch at least for a few minutes out of the week…
We hope that you guys love this new part of our journey & give Jose a round of applause for all the filming, editing, & making the vlog happen. I think the man has found another passion & I’m so proud of him that he wants to learn more about this whole new world. Your porch is absolutely gorgeous! You and Jose have done a wonderful job with the renovation of your farmhouse and have truly been an inspiration. Iâve been following your blog for several years now. My husband and I are in the midst of our own total home renovation for the past yearâ-doing it all ourselves on weekends to save cost while working full time during the week. It has been exhausting and I have appreciated your mentality of decorating spaces even though they may not be totally finishedâthis advise has helped me tremendously through this process. What kind of camera is used to do the Vlog? My grandson is wanting to start his own…he’s 9 and wants to tell his story of living in the country. By the way everything looks great and we could only dream of snow like that in the south!!

I got tears in my eyes, that was beautiful, and you two are even cuter in ‘live’ mode…lol! LOVED hearing your voices, I look so forward to more!
