I’m so excited to share our rustic Christmas dining room with you today! I’ve said it on my Instagram stories before, but I’m actually going to do a few looks in our spaces this year for christmas since we started so early on the Christmas decor. I want to show you a few different looks for each space in our house in hopes to inspire you guys. Today I did a really fun look in our dining room with mixed metals & rustic farmhouse touches. The funny thing is when I started our Christmas decor this year I was really craving a simple look. Well, that didn’t happen. I will do a few simple looks for you guys later, but today we amped it up really decked out our dining room with all the cozy hold textures…
To get the look on the table I started with a burlap texture table runner & layered a flocked pine garland on top. I then took some mercury glass trees I picked up at HomeGoods & placed them all down to the center of the table. For the place settings I used some of my world market plates that are our everyday dishes with our rose gold world market silverware. All of this is on top of these lovely simple napkins [HERE]. On top of all that I used some beautiful terra-cotta bowls from Caravan filled with cranberry sauce [My favorite.. and a bonus the cranberries add the perfect pop of red to this neutral space]. Also those little adorable juice glasses [HERE] that are the perfect little size & I feel like such an adult having a set of juice glasses. It’s the little things that remind me that I’m a grown up now. Just kidding, but kind of not.
The buffet is my favorite part of the dining room & not only because it holds the cheese & crackers on my new marble platters I picked up at Caravan, but also because it’s so pretty with all the fun textures and elements all in one space. I’m particularly obsessed with these stockings from Lands End & that loaded three tiered stand from Painted Fox [HERE]. Let’s face it. I just love all the little things mixed together to make one large cozy space. Also, can we talk about that large chalkboard with that flocked branch wreath… I’m loving that combo! One more thing on the buffet that is a staple for me & that I can’t have enough of is cake stands. Especially when they are wood & marble like [These].
I’m loving how this space is styled for Christmas & how well it mixes with the sparkle of the chandeliers. I’ll be doing a few different looks in this space & this is just one of them, but it’s already shaping up to be one of my favorites. Another bonus: it was fun to create this look for me so I hope you enjoyed & feel inspired by it. The Land’s End stockings are great. I used to love shopping their catalogue. I love all the frosted branches and garlands. So cute.
Love it all but the chandeliers and buffet make me swoon.

I used to really enjoy your decor, but it’s just become so very cluttered for a home. It looks more like you are styling for your shop, not a home. Please consider scaling it back some.

Love the stockings, but I have the same feeling as Ruth. My first thought was it looks like your styling for your shop not a home. There are many things that I think are pretty, but for me their just seems to bit a lot going on in one room….
I LOVE it all!! And I appreciate all the different items because it keeps your eye moving and it’s all unique to give ideas. I am so obsessed with the flocked branch wreaths.

I have come by your blog now and again and always found it lovely. I have felt for you fertility issues and honesty, as I have been there, as well. However, I have to agree with the comment that, anymore, it just feels like an over-styled shop and vehicle for income. The links to the glasses and bowls, for example. Those exact glasses can be found at World Market for a few dollars, each. I purchased them there in two sizes. The bowls can be found in many retail chains and not for $30 per bowl. It feels like this blog has lost its way. It makes me a little sad. It really was one of my favorites to pop into on occasion.
I am so in Love with your style, the large white pine cones on your table setting and white rustic wreaths in the background are heavenly…. where did you find them?
Does she ever respond to comments? I’d like info on the wreath too.
