Ok, yesterday I hinted about our entryway bathroom makeover. Warning!! This is not going to be a pretty post.. this bathroom is far from pretty. I wanted to come on here today & talk about the progress we have made in the bathroom & what our plans are. Ok let’s first see where we started…

Yah, the plans changed. Big time. Are you used to that with me? It started off fine enough, but then we started running into a few roadblocks and the plans changed pretty dramatically from there. I loved the original plans with the gold & the green, but after we started really diving into the project & I realized what a tiny space it was & how much I was cramming in I really wanted to simplify the color palette for this small entryway bathroom, so here we are. Black & white with hopefully some warm pops of something by the time we are done. This space was largely influenced by that antique double sided salon sign I found at a local thrift shop last winter. I knew right away that I wanted to hang it from our bathroom ceiling to hide the top of that vintage toilet. We decided to paint the pipes & I will be blogging all about that & how it goes when the space is finished.

I wanted this space to look authentic to an old farmhouse so we went with beadboard on the walls. I took apart an antique dresser mirror to get that little mirror hanging on the wall. & the hooks & shelf were flea market finds. I love the mix of whites in this space with the pops of black. I love how clean and simple they are & I’m glad we went this route in here. The list of things we have to do yet is pretty long so here is a basic rundown: finish painting the brick floors, paint the beadboard walls & trim, finish hanging stuff on the walls, finish painting the pipes, hang a bathroom light [it’s on it’s way!], hang a barn door, & tighten everything up. For such a little bathroom we have taken a long time in this space, but between the store, work, the farm, & the market we are throwing, this space hasn’t been a priority. But… progress!

I also wasn’t a huge fan of that brick floor ever & painting the brick in the bathroom and the back hallway leading into the bathroom has always been in the plans. I’m loving how it’s turning out so far & the vibe the painted floor is giving the whole space. I went with the same color we did in the office [HERE] & I love the warmth it adds to the mostly white space. Ok, so I think I was all over the place in this post, but I hope you get the idea of where we are heading here. So sorry if I disappointed you by not going with that green sink, but I hope you love how this space turns out either way!
