Back in November & December I was so pumped about the snow. It made me so happy & I felt like it was pure magic. This winter as soon as January hit it would maybe snow one day & then be melted and gone for a week &  so on and so forth. Honestly it was a great winter, but I realized how spoiled I was after a week of 60 degree weather & it snowed & I became so down. My mood was way down because of the weather & I honestly felt tired 24 hours a day because of the snow. One thing that was a HUGE help last week when the snow came back was staying in our warm cozy home playing with florals in our dining room. That room gets so much natural light & playing with florals is something that always brightens my mood on the cold & gloomy days. So when Balsam Hill asked me to help launch their spring line of florals I jumped right on it because a. I’m obsessed with Balsam Hill’s greenery & b. I wanted to share the joy of spring with you guys who are over the winter blues as well….

I wanted to go out of my normal neutrals for this project & go full on gorgeous spring so I chose the English Garden collection from Balsam Hill.  I love the combination of hydrangeas & roses mixed with lots of lovely greenery. It’s peachy pastel goodness & totally warms up our dining room effortlessly. You guys know that I do love the occasional re florals in our home, but I’m more of a faux floral girl because… low maintenance. But with that comes the struggle to find faux florals that aren’t super 80’s fake floral looking. That’s why I love Balsam Hill because you know that whatever you order will be realistic & timeless. To be honest I had only ordered Christmas greenery from them before, but this introduction to their spring greenery has made me fall in love even more. In this rustic white cabinet in our dining room I used one of the cement pot floral arrangements on the bottom shelf mixed in with our jadeite plates from World Market & the wreath hanging on the door. I love how these instantly brightened up our cabinet & matched my recipe box from Rifle Paper Co.

For the table centerpiece I placed three of the cement pot floral arrangements in a row with a piece of white linen for the table runner & it created the most simple centerpiece that made a huge impact on the space.

So, there you have it. Our bright & cheerful dining room decked out in spring florals with Balsam Hill’s new collection. It was an honor to work with them & really saved me from my winter blues. Every time I walk through this room now it brightens my mood a little bit. It also helps to have these spring florals around while our whole house is under construction.
