I never thought I would see the day where I was picking out a ceiling fan for our home, but alas here we are for our sunroom that is under construction picture above. You see I’ve never been a huge fan of ceiling fans. Not that they are terrible looking, but I just always found another light source I liked better. when we lived in North Carolina they were a must because the south. No other words needed. But here in Michigan yes it gets hot, but air conditioning usually takes care of it. Nope. Not in this big farmhouse. we have had some hot days here already & a ceiling fan in the sunroom where we mostly sit is a sweet little luxury that we want to keep in there. Since this is the first spot we are re-doing & we are almost done with the painting, it’s time to pick out a new fan for the space. I gathered a few of my favorites I have found this past week online while browsing for them & I would love your input on which one is your favorite! I did leave out some places because I ran out of time like Restoration Hardware & so on. So if you know of another one, send me the link please! Which one would you pick? I love the Minka Aire galvanized cage fan the best but I like almost all of them…and many of them would look great in the space. “Galvan”ized would be perfect and the style is fabulous! You will love how it looks and the air that it will move around! Can’t wait to see what you pick!
Oh for this room the one light galvanized fan would look fab – if it is in the budget 🙂 Otherwise a simple white one that blends in with the ceiling would be just fine!
I like a lot of the darker ones because I think the contrast would be so good in that all white room. I have an all white room and I painted the ceiling fan oil rubbed bronze, and I am so glad I did! The blades are white, but I love the contrast and I love having at least one dark piece to ground the space. These are all so beautiful, you really can’t go wrong here!
I love them all… my first pick was the windmill and I found a 60inch at a slightly lower price… but before you decide… look at the Rustic Wine barrel stave (weathered pine) by Shades of Light… You’ve picked some good ones, so good I want to switch some of mine out now!

Now I did a little photoshop, and Galvanized fan, Weather Grey or the Windmill fan—they are all kind of winning in my books.

Not sure how I missed this post, but I’m looking to update my fans and these are what I’ve been looking for. Living in a small town in North Dakota is frustrating because I can’t just go to a big box and pick one up. I really like the galvanized and gray weathered fans. I think any one of them would look great in your farmhouse.
