A while back I shared with you the beginning of our stairway gallery wall that leads down to our downstairs living room. Like everything in our home it’s bound to not look the same for any long period of time. I have slowly made some changes to this gallery wall over the past couple of months so I wanted to share them with you today. I get a lot of people saying that they don’t want to share their house with me or they would never share their house or want anyone to see it, but I hope if my blog shows you anything it’s that our houses are always in progress, always changing, & most of the time always improving. Your home is better designed when done over time & decorated with items with meaning that you love. Here is our updated farmhouse style gallery wall…

A few changes that I made: I added the antique sign that I got at our store, but you can find more signs like this one [here]. Everywhere I looked for this black antique sign they were out. I moved the wooden antique spindles around on the wall [they are hung up with 3m strips by the way] I also added the time clock check in to the top of the stairs which was also a junkin’ find. & last but not least a big change I made was adding greenery to the shelf from one of my new favorite obsessions, Gable Lane Crates [here]. I just discovered them & will be sharing all my goods from them in a later post, but as soon as I opened up the box I had to use these greens because they were so unique & added a good pop to the gallery wall. Of course the new items are mixed in with my House of Belonging sign, my antique shelf, a clock from Ikea, a cow canvas from Target, & some other frames & things from Michaels, HomeGoods, & Parris Chic Boutique.

I’m loving this gallery wall even more now with the changes. It’s been fun switching things around & changing things up when I get new pieces. My biggest advice for when doing gallery walls is use 3M strips when necessary because it’s easy to move things around in the gallery wall when there are no nail holes to fill. Of course I use nails and screws when necessary, but I love 3M strips for the lighter & smaller objects. What do you think of our farmhouse stairway gallery wall updates?
